Be weary of this place. We waited a while when it wasn't very busy. Maybe they had someone call in but they didn't say. We saw several groups get up and leave because they didn't want to wait. Menu is big and offers organic foods. Unfortunately food was not that great. It was edible but lacked flavor and salt. The bathroom being nice might be the only highlight of this place.Hopefully we just caught them on an off day and we.can try them again.

Title: Hidden Gem in Seal Beach!I recently discovered this hidden gem in Seal Beach after my favorite restaurant closed down. What a pleasant surprise it was!Review:My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while enjoying a leisurely stroll in the downtown area, and we were blown away by the exceptional service and food quality. The Angus Beef Brisket was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The Brussels sprouts and the biscuit were excellent additions to our meal, adding a delightful touch to our dining experience.Atmosphere:The weather was delightful, adding to the charm of our dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in.Dining Experience:We were fortunate to arrive just before the rush as there were no empty tables when we visited last Saturday. It's a good thing we beat the crowd - timing truly is everything! Conclusion:I have no hesitation in awarding this restaurant a well-deserved 5-star rating. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Seal Beach. If you're looking for a new favorite spot with top-notch food and service, look no further!

This place was great! Fresh ingredients and food was well seasoned and delicious. Would definitely come back and try more things on the menu. This was our first time here and we ordered salad, Mac and cheese, and fish and chips. Also very affordable.

I had been raving about this place since I tried their Breakfast Nachos, that are made with baked crispy potato skins and not chips. I absolutely LOVED this dish! Unique, tasty with black beans and sunny side eggs. Well, they dont have it anymore. They changed ownership and changed the menu. BOOOOOOO!!!!! So I took my friend to lunch and realized the menu was different with a server who knew very little about anything food. We decided to stay and try it out anyway. I paid $20 for a beef brisket sandwich - too smoky for me. It was like, eating a smoky log. Plus there is an upcharge for sweet potato fries but the server didn't know how much that was and didn't bother to let us know. I was charged for it anyway. Another BOO. I'm probably not going to return given the circumstances. There are plenty of BBQ joints around but this (new) place didn't hit any of the BBQ markers for me. Just my honest opinion! (Bring back the Breakfast Nachos and I might change my mind)

My husband and I ate here last weekend and it was really really yummy...The service was awesome by Cynthia and Ursula, very friendly and attentive...you need to get "Street Corn" for an appetizer- so good...I had the fried chicken and Brussels sprouts very fresh...and he ordered the cast iron po'boy with the max and cheese...love the Mac and cheese and po'boy was very good but was looking for a softer bread...very small complaint...the inside is very cute and has hidden ufo pictures plus ufo wall paper in restrooms...very cute...so go and say hi to Cynthia and Ursula...

Hands down this was the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Delicious crunch bread and tasty slaw. It took a while for them to prepare it, but it was so worth the wait.

This downtown Seal Beach restaurant used to be known as "The Backyard," and now goes by "LALC. Apparently, the acronym was formed by the owners' initials. I don't know whether it's under new management (probably it is, but I don't have any evidence for that), but the food in general appears to be the same as that of The Backyard. And that's a good thing, because The Backyard always had a great reputation for great food and reasonable prices. My favorite sandwiches are still there, and they're still delicious as always. I particularly like the pulled pork sandwich, the brisket sandwich, and the Texas tri-tip open sandwich. I'm not a big fan of the very thin fries (your mileage may vary, of course, I know people who love this style), but the sweet potato fries are excellent and therefore my favorite. Highly recommended.

While the name of the restaurant may be a little confusing (it's not "Backyard", it's "LALC"), the quality and taste of the food is crystal clear: it's magnificent! From fall-off-the-bone ribs served in a delicious Carolina-style BBQ sauce to perfectly seasoned shrimp in the salad, everything was terrific!

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it!!! SO GOOD!!! We shared the pulled pork, fries, and my girl got mac & cheese. We ended it with a mud pie.The smoky flavor on the meat was savory and the fries perfect.

This place was amazing!! We came in on a Sunday and we were seated immediately and everybody was so welcoming. We ordered multiple things on our visit there and everything was very tasty! I would recommend the "Santa Maria tri-tip open face sando"!! They also have a kids menu which was great. I ordered the Mac and cheese for my daughter and she loved it! I highly recommend coming here to grab something to eat and then have a nice walk at the beach. They are very kid-friendly! And we all loved the dessert!! Image 1: In front of me, I had the lobster roll with fries. On the left, my daughter got a kid's mac & cheese with fries. Across from me, we ordered a Santa Maria tri-tip open Face Sando and an Anti-Pasta SaladTo my right, we ordered a pulled pork Sando with sweet potato fries Image 2:the Backyard Mud Pie (HIGHLY RECOMMEND )

This is a very small place on the strip leading to the beach. You can park on the street if you're lucky or there's a public lot a few steps away. We didn't have to pay to park in the lot after 6pm. Service: A+. Our server sat us down immediately and took our order. She was nice and even joked with us.Food: A+. This is what brought us in. Thai Brussels: A+ these are a must! For some reason I didn't think they were going to be as good as they were but man they were good!Mac n Cheese - B+. They have a touch of feta on top. Not bad.Tri-tip open face sandwich - A. It had buttery slightly cheesy mashed potatoes, pickled red onions and BBQ sauce. Andouille sausage po-boy: A. Tasty and super filling Crispy chicken Caesar salad - A. Chicken was crispy.Shirley temples - A!! We couldn't believe they had them!Oreo dessert: B- pretty tasty (not hot).We would come back again to enjoy their food and service.
