I had heard good reviews from locals and wanted to check it out. I was shocked. I got a combination box with some add ons and the staff and chefs were accommodating. The food was excellent and the specials menu is extensive and interesting. The atmosphere was great and inviting. I'll definitely be returning and telling my friends.

Unbelievably friendly staff and costumers and great food all in one place!The waiters were very friendly and helpful, when asked for a vegetarian version of the combination box they were very accommodating and offered many different vegetarian options to choose from! Great service the whole time I was there and the other costumers around were unfailingly kind as well, starting up conversations, sharing their tea and in the end even paying for my meal! <3I definitely recommend checking it out when visiting Monterey.

A nice sushi/Japanese spot offering a robust menu and good service. We came here in on a Friday night for dinner. It was busy but there were a few tables left. There was also some spots left at the sushi bar. The food was pretty good although it was tad bit slow to arrive. I had the Donburi bowl with fresh water eel. It was very good and the eel was perfectly grilled. My family had the combo Venmo dinner and some cut rolls. Everything was good and overall we were satisfied.

Ichi riki is going through a renaissance right now! Had to go and try an old Seaside joint with the new ownership. Every single dish was impressive. We've eaten at every sushi place around here many times over through the years. This instantly became our new go-to spot and we found ourselves talking about the next time we come. As local kids to Seaside, love having another local spot to support.

Another visit to this well-established spot for sushi in Seaside. The fish quality was still excellent, seasoning for everything was still on point (especially soups/stock), tempura batter was still light and airy, and the staff was still friendly and provided great service with warmth and professionalism.Unfortunately, today, the Tanindon was advertised as having thinly sliced beef in the menu, but came out with chopped chunky beef. The flavors carried the bowl but a little let down with the meat. They also never brought out the miso soup that comes with it. I didn't realize it until we left. The staff was very friendly so I'm sure they would have taken care of it if I had caught it earlier.
This place has been a staple in Seaside forever. Reminded me a little bit of Kifune in Venice. Everybody knows everybody. Big time regular longtime diners. I'm a nigiri fan and they do not disappoint. My sister is a fan of specialty rolls. Asked for an omkase from the chef and was rewarded with some crazy salmon covered spicy scallop magnum opus that was excellent. Great experience every time I go.

Hands down our go-to sushi spot in the Monterey Bay Area! It is hard to choose a favorite dish here because everything is so good! The Ocean Roll, Pacific Roll, and Riki Roll are definitely our top favorites! The tuna tartar carpaccio was delicious! Top highlights of this restaurant - quality fish, great service, fair prices, and wonderful atmosphere! Do yourself a favor and head over to Ichi-Riki for some great food and vibes!
