Region was the highlight of our day. Tons of options to choose from, they had a winemaker doing pours of their new selection , and the staff is top notch.Best of all you can get food delivered from the local restaurants. We loved the vibe here, and it used to be a dog friendly place.Definitely come with friends to hangout, or just read a book. It’s a fantastic wine and food experience.

Great if you like wine but hate people? The overall feeling is a bit sterile and impersonal. You can basically see the VC pitch deck that put it together.Maybe for someone, not for me.

I love this place! It's fun to go in and taste all sorts of different wines from different winemakers both large and small. Plus, the place is really well designed; lovely and light with a terrific staff to match! I enjoy grabbing food from other places in the Barlow and plopping down at Region. and enjoying a fabulous environment and tasting experience with these super lovely people and yummy wines!

I traveled from Norway to experience the hidden gem that is the wine bar in Sebastopol, California, and I must say it was an unforgettable journey. The ambiance of the wine bar was nothing short of enchanting. Its cozy and rustic setting made it the perfect place to unwind and savor some exceptional wines. The wine selection was a pleasant surprise, offering a wide variety of local wines. The staff's knowledge and friendliness were truly appreciated. They guided us through the wine choices with expertise and even shared some fascinating stories about the local wine scene. In conclusion, my visit to Region was a highlight of my trip, and I'm incredibly grateful for the exceptional experience it offered. I'll cherish the memories and hope to return someday.

What a fun experience! Taste the wines you want to taste...in the amount/price you choose. And you can buy by the bottle, if you wish. Wonderful, knowledgeable staff. I want one of these in San Diego!

We came here for the first time a few weeks ago on our first trip to The Barlow... what a neat and fun concept! You basically get to load money onto a card and then sample wines from a self-serve wine wall... such a blast! You get to select the size of the portion for winetasting and they also offer bottles. They have a cozy, hip inside area with couches and high tops, and then a nice back patio... Great ambience. Since they don't really sell food, you are welcome to order from local restaurants there at the Barlow.

One of the best wine bars in the country, and we’ve been to many. You can taste small Pinot Noir producers without going to the wineries - and all in one place. They have 50+ wines on tap, and they’re all local. Scherrer, Viluko, Gary Ferrell, and many more. We liked this place so much that we went there 5x in the 2 months that we lived in the area. The wine dinners are special as well - and an opportunity to meet and interact with the winemakers. I attended the Valentines Day dinner, and it had outstanding food and wine.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.

This place was a fantastic find over the weekend. Great atmosphere with plenty of places to sit and relax. Most importantly the wine selection was fantastic. Easy to try many different wines without going overboard, and the staff was very helpful and had answers to all my questions. I signed up for the membership because I plan on coming back pretty frequently and bringing friends. Fantastic spot!

My favorite place at the Barlow. The wine selection is local and large, the staff is friendly and engaging and the space is light, attractive and welcoming. The ability to select a taste, a half glass or a full glass of any wine offered is perfect. I Iove to come here, try some new wines or old favorites and order lunch from one of the many nearby restaurants that deliver. This is also a place I like to bring visitors to Sonoma county to introduce them to the wide range of wines and wine styles the region has to offer. Visitors can sample wine (and if they choose, buy bottles) from a number of high quality small producers who they might never hear of otherwise -- but they can taste wine from some of the big names as well. As you can tell, I'm a fan.

Self-service wine bar with excellently-sourced variety of wines! This self-serve wine bar is a great space to meet up with friends or divergent wine palates. The space is large and bright with plenty of space for groups. I love that they are dog-friendly, and enjoyed petting a number of furry friends in between sips. You get a wine card from the counter, grab a glass from the wine wall and select which wine and how large of a pour you would like (tasting, half or full glass). If you want to do a side-by-side comparison of any of the wines, simply grab a second glass! I appreciate the flexibility of the set up and the fact that they leave booklets at every table that offer tasting notes and region descriptions for you to self-educate while you imbibe. Would definitely return!

There are plenty of "pour your own beer" places but this is the first pour your own wine that I've seen! There is a large and great variety of wines to choose from of all grape varietals and you have the option of either a 1 oz taste, half glass, or full glass that is dispensed by the machine after you select your size. Some of the wine tastes are more affordable than others and the machine tasting fees can add up quickly. I think this is experience is still comparable in price to going to one Napa/Sonoma winery and getting tastings of that winery's wine only. With that said, it is still more than worth the price to be able to try a huge variety of different wines from different places that you choose. If you aren't sure, the staff is very knowledgeable on all the wines available and can help you choose what to try. Their bottle prices are also reasonable and not marked up! Trust me, I looked before buying. Great atmosphere and experience that we will be returning to every time we can!

Such an awesome concept! We more than enjoyed sitting on the shady patio and enjoying a range of wines from the wall!

Wine selection was great as well as the service. I really like that they let you bring in outside food. I enjoyed some tacos why my husband got some sushi nearby. Tried a ton of different wines and went home with two bottles in tow. Tacos and wine no complaints here.
