“Great service. The menu is simple and the quality high. The Burnt ends appetizer is amazing. My wife had them and the potato skin appetizer as a meal. Brisket dinner has a light smoke to perfection. Wished they had a burnt ends dinner. Our friends fried chicken dinner was crispy delicious. The steam boiler fire keeps it cozy with an old time Shaver saw mill feel. Oh, the porter beer is fabulous.“

“This is a popular place right off the main road in Shaver. It gets pretty busy but it didn't take too long to receive our meal after we were able to order. The food is decent and obviously things cost what they do up on the mountain so no surprise with the costs involved. Plenty of outdoor seating very limited space indoor. So nice weather was appreciated.“
