This place has a cool patio overseeing Ventura Blvd. if you like to people watch this is the place for you. We had the carne asada plate, red chilaquiles, quesadilla and the ceviche appetizer. The food was meh but the bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless and our waitress Cristine was awesome.

We are really impressed with this establishment. Very beautiful decor and comfortable chairs and booths. But the food is just divine. This time we started with the ceviche, which comes with scallops and shrimp but we went for just all shrimp, and it was very very good. On a lovely bed of avocado onion mash. Then he had the braised Carnitas and said that they were excellent. I had the chicken enchiladas with extra beans and all the food here every time we've eaten is very flavorful and satisfying. Very decent wine selection as well. It was busier than usual, which was very nice to see. We hope to come here and watch some of the Thursday night football games on prime but they don't have prime so hopefully next year they will incorporate that. Will be back!

I started coming to this restaurant years ago. The environment was so quaint, warm and cozy that it was it throughout the week for happy hour and their appetizers. However, since Covid the cleanliness, customer, service, and food quality is just not the same. I've tried it a few times, and it has consistently disappointed only because I knew what the restaurant was like prior to Covid. am I saying this place is terrible, absolutely not however, once you've received great good doesn't suffice anymore. But if this is your first time going, you'll enjoy it. It's a cool spot.

My friends and I came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. We reserved a table since we were not sure how crowded the restaurant would be. Upon arrival there was only 1 section of a few tables occupied inside and a few stragglers sitting outside by some fire pits. Since it was a lil cold, we sat inside. All the inside tables were all seated right next to each other so there wasn't a whole lot of privacy but the restaurant did seem a bit under staffed since some of the cooks ended up bringing out our food. We ordered a few of their frozen margaritas (tasty but weak) and a few different plates. The carnitas were plentiful, well dressed with pico de gallo. I loved the beans with the shredded cheese on top. And the rice was amazing! It had some mixed in peas and other veggies. The carnitas I think could've been a bit more juicy but still delicious. The fried bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer were also delicious. Their crunchy and savory was complimented perfectly with the jalapeño slice and tangy dipping sauce. Highly recommend. I personally love the fideo. It's a soupy serving with rich broth, plenty of pasta and a great fix of tomato/savory blend. I felt right at home with this dish the most. Overall the food was good and service was pretty good. The inside is gorgeous and I'm sure looks more vibrant during the day. The restaurant as a whole is huge and could be perfect for large parties. I'd come back for sure to try other plates.

Came here around 7 pm on a chilly Wednesday. There's plenty of parking in the outside lots and even underground parking which we opted for. Añejo is located on the second floor of the building. Immediately we saw how cute it was, I'm sure it would be even nicer during the day. They had a nice outdoor balcony with a fireplace and heaters and the huge inside had a fake flower wall. We had made reservations but it wasn't necessary this time because the restaurant was pretty empty. My partner and I decided to order the bacon wrapped shrimp, fideo soup, braised carnitas with corn tortillas, and the famous carne asada. He also got a margarita. Our friends got a watermelon margarita and the verde enchiladas. The drinks were out pretty fast and so was the food. The margaritas looked good and both were finished. The bacon wrapped shrimp was really good, perfectly cooked and a lot of bacon! I liked the cabbage bed and the creamy sauce and jalanepos. The fideo soup was very yummy, comforting on a cold night! Can't really go wrong with fideo. We didn't finish the entrees but both meats had excellent flavor and seasoning. I really like the rice that was served with both as well, very savory. One of our friends goes to Mexico frequently and says these enchiladas had the same flavor and came very close (she always gets them every Mexican restaurant). She was able to speak fluent Spanish with all the employees. It was a ton of food! Way bigger portions than I was expecting. I would come here again if I'm craving upscale Mexican. Personally I don't think it was the best Mexican ever (still very good) but the ambiance was nice and the portions made sense for the price.

Food was great ! The server Lulu is so nice and welcoming. Poor thing was the only one working the outside section but she was so accommodating. We all got the taco trio (steak, shrimp, fish) fire !!!

Food is average, and definitely dont order carnitas. Food is 2/5 and ambiance is 4/5 on friday nights with the live music and dj. Easy to get to, get down with your fav latin tunes. The ambiance makes it a 4 star otherwise would be a 2.

Came through today to meet with an old friend & had an amazing time. Happy hour mango margarita & chicken fajitas were delicious. But even better than the food was our waitress Lulu. Super friendly, always checked in on us, and even was down for a lil game of chance, which resulted in me losing & getting another margarita lol. 5/5 had a great time & definitely will be back.

Visited on a Thursday night and the place was packed! The vibe here is very cool! Ordered a margarita and a Tostada for myself! Food was good but not WOW! Overall, it was a good try but don't know if it is worth returning for.

This place is awesome! I had lunch there earlier with some friends and the food, drinks, and service were fantastic. I also really enjoyed an older man who stopped by to pick up plates and give us water since he was very sweet and shared amusing anecdotes. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone I know.
