Since it opened in the mid 1950s, ANTONIO'S PIZZERIA and ITALIAN RESTAURANT, a neighborhood, Chicago style, Italian eatery, has created delicious, cooked from scratch, Northern and Southern Italian cuisine.RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.Steven Lunardon, co-owner with his brother, Chef Alex offer a delicious, surprisingly complex menu of conventional, vegan, and gluten free, salads, pizza, pasta, poultry, fish, meat entries, and scrumptious desserts.Reese, our server, answered our questions, describing the dishes.Even in this very crowded restaurant service is amazingly fast. The large, chilled, crisp (personal-sized) salads are delivered within a few minutes. The main course arrived fifteen minutes later. Our menu choices included Vegan Pizza, two orders of gluten-free Chicken Parmesan, and Pasta Ricotta. For dessert: Chocolate Windmill Cake and Carrot Cake. Portions are generous. As a vegan, I found the medium, thick crust pizza had the wonderful flavor of Chicago pizza. I took home a couple of slices. (In college, I learned to enjoy cold pizza and warm, flat beer for breakfast.) The rest of the table enjoyed their large meals and also took their leftovers home. Unfortunately, the gluten free desserts were not vegan. However, my table mates devoured them.STUFF: Comfortable booths line two walls. Tables are rearranged to support group dinning. The bathrooms and restaurant are ADA compatible. There is a low step from the parking lot into the rear of the restaurant. The front entrance is flat. Some free ADA parking is available behind the building.Kid-friendliness: Meals are generous and can be split.

Their pizza was delicious and everything you would expect from a great local Italian restaurant. Would love to visit again when I'm in the area.

First time ordering in, and the food is good! However, I'm a little confused as to why my antipasto salad came with whole pieces of salami, whole pieces of mozzarella cheese, whole pieces of beets, and a green onion stalk. I've never had an antipasto salad come put where I'd have to chop it myself... that was interesting, to say the least.

Went over for some pizza tonight, went in about 40 min before close, and they turned us away saying that their kitchen closed in 10 minutes. Who does that?! pretty bummed that they turned us away way before close, I've worked food service jobs that made us serve up to a minute before close, just make your hours the time that kitchen closes, I don't understand why you'd be surprised that you'd have customers on a Friday night.

I gotta tell you, this place totally blows! The service is horrible. The food is crap. Totally awful. The pizza is hard. The dough isn't even fresh and the cheese taste like hard, imitation cheese not even real mozzarella. The sauce was way too salty. I ordered a Caesar salad and they brought me lettuce that was brown completely old. I asked him to take it back and make me a new one and it came back looking the same. I was like what in the world. Completely horrible I went to the bathroom and they were like pigsties. One toilet was overflowing and there was poop all over the floor, not even clean at all. I definitely recommend to go down the street to either Mulberry Pizza, Bacari's just a block away, Pagliacci is a few blocks away and Coldwater Canyon anything other than this place! Totally terrible don't go to this place and get sick or waste your time.

I always love coming here solo to enjoy some quick and delicious Italian. The pasta is yummy but I don't recommend the pizzas. Just remember this place is quick and easy -- if you're expecting anything special this is not the place for you. This is classic, old school, hole in the wall deliciousness.

It's been a while sinceI I ordered pizza from here. I had no problem with them in the past but this time it wasn't the same at all. I expected the old school tasty version but instead got a bland imitation of its former self. The crust was strange. Denser and no crunch. Like a cheap frozen dough or the gluten free version. It's fine to accommodate the celiac crowd but the majority fortunately do not have this problem. I did not order that version. If this is their standard pizza then I'm going to have to pass. It's a shame as it's hard to find a truly awesome pizza.

We had a celebration here at Antonio's for my mom's 92nd birthday and we had a very good time. The food and service was great! We were all very happy with our meal and our needs were met. Thank you Antonio's for making our time with our mom special. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I am thoroughly satisfied with this restaurant as the customer service was outstanding and the food surpassed my expectations. The adorable Italian decor adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend giving it a try.

The veal and customer service was terrible. I called about beef at 8 pm. The man who answered my phone call was angry. He told me "are you even calling the right restaurant?" "If you don't get here in 20 mins, you're not being served". "I already told you, we don't". We arrived and our experience had gotten worse. A heavy, older Caucasian man with short white hair, a black short sleeve collared shirt and blue jeans arrived at our table. He continued to look at his watch. We ordered veal pasta, a medium pizza 2 lemonades with 4 garlic knots. The food costed $80. The veal immediately was so bad my friend did not want to eat it. I took a bite to try it and the veal was dry. It had no flavor and the dish was soaking wet with bell peppers and wine. The veal dish cost $30. However, it tasted more like trash. I will never go here again.

The saving grace for Celiac safe pizza. If you want a good pizza that's large and delicious, come here. My partner and I recently decided that this is the *only* place we're getting pizza from now on. They have gf pastas and desserts too. Definitely the best gluten free pizza in Los Angeles.

Cozy atmosphere, the food was awful.the garlic cheese bread was soggy, barely any garlic taste with a thick glob of tastless cheese on the top. The spaghetti sauce had to be the worst i have ever tasted, acidic and overpowered by oregano and onions. It had a strong snell and left a bad after taste

The building is really pretty and definitely a valley treasure. However, the service is terrible as well as the food! I really don't recommend coming here to eat - maybe - just a drink.
