It snakes me sad to have to write this because I really enjoy Donna Jean. However today, I called to place a order for pickup, this was around 11:20am. There are only four parties here, I’ve watched two others come and grab their pickup order. When my order did come after almost an hr wait. It was incorrect, then I had to wait even longer for it to be correct. A full hour has passed and I am just now getting my food at 12:19pm. My first item the frittata, now cold, was given back to me. I am very disappointed in this service today at Donna Jean.Kimberly seems like she is a great server but today she in fact was not. I heard the bell for food dong several times and I heard her say, “that was me” when she took my food back. So here I am with only one meal warm and the other cold after having waited for an hour or so. Long story short, I’m hesitant about ordering to go ever again. This was crazy.

So happy to find this Italian vegan gem!! Gorgeous ambience/decor - really gives a feeling of classy minimalist spaciousness! Delicious GF options and best of all the menu is completely vegan!! And I can’t believe they even had TWO GF desserts! ? Our beautiful waitress was amazing, and knew the menu incredibly well (that’s so important to me!) and I wish we’d gotten her name! (She had an extensive gorgeous tattoo along one arm and bilateral ear spaces (? sorry that’s the best description I can give!?)

Always saw this place when driving by and never really gave it a 2nd thought. This is your sign to visit Donna Jean! Some of the best vegan food I've ever tried and it's in the San Fernando Valley!Hands down my favorite thing here is the Hot Shrooms. Eaten fresh, one of the best eating experiences I've had. That first bite through the crispy exterior into the mushroom honestly made me forget it was vegan. You could probably even make your own vegan chicken sandwich using 2 slices of bread!The pizzas are also amazing and wish I had the stomach capacity to try them all. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant.

Every single thing I put into my belly was absolutely delicious. It has been a long time coming going to this place. I fancy their instagram, and today I needed some place new to eat at. I am so so glad I stopped in. I feel like they need to be located in WeHo instead of where they are. But all things considered, make sure you go to this delicious restaurant. This place is incredible! I have been to both this location and the one in San Diego. This location specifically had the most fantastic customer service and an excellent menu. The atmosphere offers a chill ambiance for a great family outing or a date spot. The best part about this vegan restaurant in Sherman Oaks is that you would never know it’s a vegan restaurant if they didn't tell you on the menu. 10/10 I will be back here very often!

I'm not a huge fan of vegan food and this establishment didn't change my mind.The service was good as well as the inside ambiance.The restaurant front is filthy, which is not a good feeling. They also have surcharge of 3% to cover cost of healthcare.It's just strange to ask for a % and not include it in your general operation costs.

Donna Jean is a great place to enjoy healthy vegan options in the Sherman Oaks area, the staff is very helpful and very attentive. My wife and I came here for Brunch on a Sunday and we ordered there Fungazi and we also got the hot shrooms. Both dishes were really really good. I highly recommend Donna Jean for everyone not just if you are Vegan. The food is outstanding and nothing beats a lively atmosphere and nice staff.

Not a fan of food flavoring and service was terrible. We wanted to love this place, actually we ordered the lasagna for take out in consideration of using them to cater our holiday dinner. The lasagna was ok, we decided to go elsewhere. That said, we tried it a second time to eat-in. Terrible. First and foremost getting seated took forever, the seating is not comfortable at all. The staff is friendly but super slow and inattentive. We had to get up twice to ask for things that were missing from both the table set-up and the actual order. Food was decent but not worth putting up with the experience to return. The farm bowl was the best of all that we ordered. The bread seemed to be glorified pizza dough. The pizza was ehh with some good flavor but overcooked. The hot shrooms were SUPER over-spiced to the point that it just felt dusty in our mouths. I assure you, we won't be craving this spot and don't usually have 2 hours to sit around and wait for food to trickle in. Hopefully they make some improvements because this could've easily become "our spot" but we'll probably just go to Hugo's or Something Vegan instead.

The food is great but the decor is horrible. The whole place feels like a factory lunchroom. Stark white cinder block walls, way too many bright lights, not a table cloth in sight or anything remotely organic feeling at all, just metal and hard, unattractive wood and some paltry plants. Not a place to enjoy a relaxing meal or linger one minute longer than necessary to eat your food.
