Wow, what a difference from the last visit we had here!! We used to LOVE Jinky's, which was always a breakfast, or lunch, it must be that it's gotta be the paper then staple for us & has been for years, but after today I can't say we will be back. First the good - our server (Jen) was EXCELLENT, and did everything she could to mitigate our disappointment, and she seemed to be the only server here & was pretty busy. Know, she is the ONLY reason they are getting 2 stars this time! Now for the food... I ordered the eggs & quinoa hash-browns with turkey bacon. When it was delivered the food runner handed me my plate, which felt cold to the touch & when I touched the hash-browns they were ice cold, so I sent them back. Our server apologized & offered to discount my meal. When it came back, it was warm & the eggs were cooked perfectly (poached). The turkey bacon was rubbery & was a texture that seemed as if it was cooked in a microwave, which led me to wonder if the entire plate was microwaved to heat up the hash-browns?! My husband ordered the California Sandwich, which he literally orders EVERY TIME we come here. What an incredible disappointment! There were LITERALLY 2 slices of turkey on this $18 sandwich! . The bread, which tasted the same, seemed to be thinner. Of course he sent the plate back and we noted that the sandwich didn't look anything like what he had ordered previously. Our server did get them to remake the sandwich, with extra turkey & let us know the restaurant was under new management. Well, hello new management, your portions are a complete rip off & you do not get what you pat for! Add to that the almost 4% "labor surcharge" and one of our staples is now being removed from the cycle!

It makes me so sad to write this review when this spot used to be one of my favorite places to have breakfast. The only reason I won't give a 1 star review is because of the service. Our waitress was amazing. The food quality here used to be amazing but it's horrible now. We ordered club sandwich and an eggs Benedict. The Benedict didn't taste good at all and the potatoes were stale and had the worst flavor. They don't taste anything like they used to. I remember a time you would go in around noon and it would be at least an hour wait but now it's dead inside. The food is so bad and the prices are ridiculous. We paid $52 for just these two items and a 15% tip. On top of it we had an almost 4-% surcharge for the employees. Like don't they already calculate that into the price of the food??? Sadly, I won't be going back again and I wouldn't be surprised if this location closes.

The food was good. When I asked for the check, the waiter wanted my card out of my hand before he brought me the bill. He literally reached for it and I pulled it back and said bring me the check. When he returned, he was less than pleasant and had an attitude. Unfortunately, I was just saying to the person with me that I will bring the rest of family there because we are always looking for new places to try. Now, the rest of my people (8-10 people) won't be trying Jinky's in Sherman Oaks, Ca.

Food was the worst. Taco salad was literally only wilted slime lettuce with a couple cucumbers that were clearly prepared days before. Chili was awful. I honestly thought since they offer a chili sampler it would be okay but it was greasy dog food. For your health avoid this place. At the very least avoid this location. I can only imagine how sick I could have been if I hadn't thrown this out. My stomach was hurting for hours just on a few bites. It's so bad I took time to reach out to the restaurant as well as putting this review. At this point I feel I should fairly warn others.

While vacationing in California, we stayed at a near-by hotel and ended up going to breakfast a couple times. If it wasn't good, we would have been one and done.However, the food was good and the staff did a great job.If you're in the area, I'd recommend giving Jinky's a try...

The more expensive this place gets, the worse the experience. In-person, I recently experienced sending back a dirty fork that had been brought to the table in a napkin. But I am writing this based on today's experience. 2-3 times a month we would order take-out for pickup. Never again. I waited until 10 minutes after they opened to order. Postmates allowed me to order for pickup and had accepted the order. I confirmed before I went to retrieve. When I got there, the guy running the mobile order counter told me he didn't have an order for me. I looked at the app and they had CANCELLED the order. The app even showed it had been cancelled by them. I showed him this. I would have ordered in person and waited and was not expecting anything special or free - but this jerk, clearly feeling insecure, decided to argue with me and essentially blamed me for the order being cancelled. Even if that was the case (and it wasn't), I could not believe how insulting he was in insisting that it was me and not him. I don't believe the customer is always right but there is one of us paying and another being paid and the person paying should maybe be given the benefit of the doubt, if there is any question. Add to this how expensive they have gotten and the signs indicating they even add an extra sur charge due to them having to comply with local laws and pay their employees. I will not be back.

Disappointed that I won't be returning to one of my favorite diners.. Was here last weekend with my family and another; 7 people. While we were sat very prompt, the service was very poor; it took at least 10 mins for them to stop by the first time, several times we were asked to order our drinks or food when they had already been taken; yet they forgot to bring half of the drinks. When I had questions about the food I wanted to order the server shrugged at my question, apparently not caring to give an actual answer or figure it out. Our food took an extended amount of time as well, which was very disappointing as well, especially considering they were not busy at the time. The staff was not apologetic or tried to make up for any mistakes they made. We had 3 items that were not brought out correctly. Also, since the last time I was there (maybe 6 months) their prices have ballooned by almost 40% and are also charging an extra 4% fee towards their establishment. The combination of the extra cost and the poor service is unfortunately going to Lee me from coming back.

3.5% surcharge for minimum wage?? PAY YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES WHAT THEY DESERVE. VERY average and extremely overpriced. There any many many better places close by
