A Marmalade Cafe in the Valley! I don't know if I have been living under a rock for years or what but much to my surprise I discovered a new location... well new to me at least! I had only ever known of the Marmalade Cafe by the Grove before stumbling upon this location recently. And since I am a huge breakfast buff, anywhere I can find a good breakfast at a reasonable price is a win in my book. Parking around Marmalade Cafe can be a bit tricky during busy times because there are so many other businesses around it. If you can't find a meter on a nearby street you can go a bit deeper into the neighborhoods and you shouldn't have a problem. Since we are in Southern California, it's always nice to sit outside and Marmalade Cafe has an abundance of outdoor dining. I couldn't believe how large the area was behind the restaurant. There are tons of tables so this could even be a good spot for a larger party or gathering. One thing I think can be improved is the space itself. It is not the most inviting space. There is so much room back there that it could be really cute but it is pretty basic and not the place you might want to spend a cute weekend brunch. It was pretty slow when we went last weekend as it was late for breakfast but early for lunch. Because of this, the service was very attentive, which I appreciated. I got my go to corned beef hash and it comes topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. They pair that with breakfast potatoes and a side of your choice of toast. The only negative I had with my breakfast was that the potatoes had clearly been sitting out for a while as they were a bit hard yet chewy. It wasn't the end of the world though and they still complimented the meal. Fresh potatoes would have been appreciated though. My husband got the chicken caesar salad and loved it but he did have to ask for additional dressing as it was light. Overall I was happy with Marmalade Cafe and will definitely be returning when I'm in the area or when I have a craving for some corned beef hash again!

Solidly mediocre in every way. Food is meh. Best thing is the service, which is better than 3 stars.

Service alone deserves five stars! Danika ? Not sure how to spell that but she rocks. She's attentive, engaging, and makes MC the neighborhood gem it's been.

On Saturday, 4/13/24, I decided to drive to Marmalade Cafe of Sherman Oaks. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. I told the waiter to tell the chef to add seasonings to the chicken. I have to be honest, the chicken was horrible! HORRIBLE! I will no longer patronize Marmalade Cafe of Sherman Oaks.

WORST MARMALADE EVER. WESTLAKE AND CALABASSES ARE 100 times better! Germo the manager is the worst at this place he obviously gives 0 care into his customers and food. Cold eggs and uncooked, hard potatatoes every single time. Oh ya and it's in their policy to not serve any butter , jam or ssyrup when ordering food that would need those items. There policy says you must ask so they expect you to eat a dry pancake and dry english muffin Thanks for not having a brain and running the worst marmalade in the city Girmo!

Just a heads up. Never come here on a holiday. Or, maybe it's always like this? Our reservation was at 12:30pm. It's 1:20pm now and we finally got our drinks...

Great local place we frequent. It has a little bit of everything on the menu and I have mainly gone for brunch. Service is good, ambiance is good, and portions are healthy. Thanks for being my go to in the neighborhood!

Provender: great restaurant on Ventura Blvd. for breakfast and brunch options. They offer a variety of breakfast options and also serve dinner items as well. Prices: a breakfast dish is roughly around $17-20. The portions are generous. Parking: after entering through the driveway, there are a few spots. If you drive around the curve, it leads you to a subterranean parking garage with more parking spots. People: fun for all, but please ensure your kiddos are well behaved so all can enjoy. Staff are amazing. Since it can get busy there might be a wait. Perks: they offer both indoor and outdoor dining. They also have a petite bar area, with various draft beers, and a TV.

Worst service, first coffee cup had lip stick on it and when asked to replace it came with an attitude. Now waiting and not once asked how our food was or brought more coffee. I do not recommend this place

10 AM Monday. Food wasn't bad. Waiter was openly hostile. It was a truly bizarre experience. Ruined what should have been a nice breakfast with friends. I have been a patron nod Marmalade for over 25 years and have always been a fan. The behavior and demeanor of our waiter was unnecessary and uncalled for. We were quite polite to him. Today was my last visit to Marmalade. (PS: the restaurant was absolutely freezing.)

Came here as a last minute lunch date with a friend and our kids. Food was good as usual. Service is where it's lacking. The female working the door and rolling silverware acted like I was asking her for a lung when I asked if we could get menus after not being seated with any. Absolute attitude. The server looked stressed out so I'm guessing he doesn't have proper busboy support or managerial assistance when a server is overloaded. Service was also insanely slow, but that could be associated with not supporting the staff appropriately from higher up.

A classy little cafe with tasty dishes. It isn't cheap but it is worth it if you want to bring your family to a nice sunday brunch. I like the food and appreciate the good service!

Food didn't sit well and wasn't all that great. Got stomach pain and vomiting after I got home. Unfortunate, because I've eaten there before and wasn't up to par.
