We saw Dek Sen’s post on @sanfernandovalleyeats , so we looked them up.Dek Sen’s is an interesting name, we were told it means favorite person in Thai☺️We were reluctant to order kimchi fried rice at a Thai restaurant but so glad we did. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating. We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!

Highly recommend the moo palo. Braised pork with bok choy and mushrooms over rice. The owners are super friendly.

i love this place, but i do feel like the portions are a bit on the smaller side. everyone is also really nice here and the food is great. everything is packaged in containers, but they do have a cute seating area inside if you want to eat there instead of eating at home. parking lot in the back, too!

The best thai food in the valley! Always friendly and super fast. Ive tried almost every dish from dek sen's. Wonton soup, tom kha, tom yum, pad thai, pad kee mow, curry, even wings, they are all amazing!

Really cute little place with excellent food. The employees are very welcoming and nice. I recommend the Thai tea and the wasabi noodle dish with chicken.

Delicious food! A sister Thai spot to the Rustic Spoon restaurant, Dek Sen's focuses more on Thai street food rather than the classic Thai dishes all know and love. We used their app to order as they have a rewards system. You can only accumulate rewards via this app, so if you love this place, skip the 3rd party ordering system and order directly in-app! We ordered the green curry with chicken (served with a tiny side of rice), Kee Mow (flat rice noodles in a drunken house sauce), and Moo Palo (braised pork belly). All were savory and flavorful, but our faves were the curry and pork belly. We took our order to-go, but the staff were really nice when we showed up. Interior and exterior are colorful! Street parking avail out front, but there's a lot in the back behind the building.

Easily my new #1 Thai Restaurant, I live a block from the Rustic Spoon in Valley Village and not a fan of their food. Do not let the name scare you, it's a 3rd location called Dek Sen which is owned by Rustic Spoon. The flavors are so unique, their dishes you won't find anywhere else. The noodles were so fat & chewy! I started off with their Green Mussels and Kee Mo Beef, be sure to try their tasty hot sauce on the side too. Now I can't wait to return to try the rest of their menu and already know what I want to try, Kimchi Fried Rice & Wasabi Warm Noodles.

Really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. We like Rustic Spoon in Valley Village so decided to try this place with all the positive reviews. It's labeled "Asian fusion" but it's mostly Thai food with some other Asian foods mixed in. I wish they got a little more creative with it but overall still really loved it. Tom Ka Coconut Soup: 10/10 got it with shrimp. Perfect mix of coconut and lime. Wasabi Udon House Noodles: 9/10 comfort food. The thick noodles weren't over cooked. The sauce was sweet and salty - I liked the pickled carrots and cabbage mixed in. Got it with beef. I didn't really get wasabi from this. Kimchi fried rice: 10/10 great flavor, comes with a fried egg on top and big chunks of kimchi. We ate inside, they have about 4 tables. Clean inside and casual vibe. Lots of people order to-go but you can definitely eat inside. There's parking in the back!!! The ladies were super friendly and the food came out very fast.

These reviews must be rigged. There are clearly better Thai restaurants in the valley. Been wanting to try this place for a while and will continue to pass it on the way home.

I really was hoping to love this place based upon all the great reviews here on Yelp. Sad to say my experience was anything but... great. We ordered Pad Thai which was essentially tasteless. Also tried the Kee Mow - it was spicy as requested, but the noodles were mush and stuck together with a very off putting paste like texture. The Kimchi fried rice had virtually no Kimchi in it and also lacking any real flavor. I also made the mistake of ordering the pork belly bao; it was so thick with pork fat I had to spit it out upon biting into it (probably more my fault than Dek Sen's as I was expecting the pork belly to be grilled or at least cooked significantly longer than it was.). On top of all that, we ordered two lunch specials but they packed one eggroll in our take out bag - which ultimately was a good thing because that one eggroll was as greasy as it was bland. Needless to say, I was terribly disappointed with the whole order and won't be coming back. (Also, I never post negative reviews on Yelp, but felt compelled to do so here as this place needs a wake up call! Food was overcooked and about as flavorful as what you'd expect to find served in a hospital.)
