My other review was from 4 years ago and the food was delicious (southern Italy) then and it is still now. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He made a special children's portion for my granddaughter who is now 10. Vladdy (sp) was so happy to see us again that he gave us the regular spumoni and an extra piece to take home. I showed him the previous review and he was happy that I took the time to write it. The chicken parmigiana and meatballs and spaghetti were also delicious. My daughter ordered the seafood plate and it was too much for her to eat. Make this a go to restaurant when in the area. Rhonda S.

My wife and I along with our 2 daughters were there a week ago and had such a lovely experience. Food was excellent. generous portions (we all took home leftovers that made for a delicious lunch the next day).the restaurant was small and charming.Even though we all enjoyed our food, the best part of the experience was the service. the wait staff were excellent and the owner was unbelievably charming and kind, going out of his way to make conversation and make us feel welcome (we're from Toronto).He was so sweet with our daughters and even gave us complimentary Tiramisu (to eat there, and to take home).Would definitely return if back in Sherman Oaks.

Phenomenal restaurant! I would eat here once a week if I was local. The owner took very good care of us and provided the best dining experience we have ever had. Our table had 4 different dishes with 3 different sauces and zero complaints. If you are looking for Italian dining this is your place!
Small quaint restaurant right on Ventura. The food was decent. The owner was delightful and very sweet and kind. I wish I could give a better review but the restaurant itself was very old and not in a charming way. There was a musty smell that overpowered the food. It was clean enough just rundown.The atmosphere was enough to take away from my enjoyment of the food.With so many choices and with prices so high these days, I can't see myself ever coming back or recommending to others.

This place is a hidden gem my family discovered a couple years ago. Whenever we visit LA area we make it to Spumonis at least once. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. I was so impressed that the owner remembered us, where we were from, and our orders from 2 yrs ago.
The staff are so wonderful! So accommodating and so happy to make the experience a memorable experience! The food is delicious and fresh and an all around great experience! Highly recommend Spumoni!

The food and service are awesome! They did offer a free tiramisu which my 2 year toddler and my mother loved. The owner was kind enough to greet us and customized the order for our needs. I will definitely recommend this place for a nice Italian cuisine experience.

AMAZING!!The owner has such a beautiful soul!We sat down and within 2 mins he was at our table giving recommendations and telling us and I quote “if you’re craving something and don’t see it on the menu tell me, will make it. You have a picture, show me will make it!”We travel quite often and his hospitality, kindness, and just all around ability to put a smile on our face with just how excited he got to recommend his food warmed our hearts and filled our belly’s.If you’re ever lucky enough to sit down at one of his tables I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
