Hands down, best spot in Long Beach for Lao food. Me and my family frequently order delivery or will make the drive down to Signal Hill. It’s located in an unassuming plaza that also has an amazing sushi spot. My favorite dishes on repeat:Boat Noodle (I can’t order this anywhere else because I need the sour sauce that comes with this dish to cut the blood. Yes, the dark soup is made from blood!)Crispy PorkLao SausageTom Yum SoupKhao PiakFried Chicken WingsSom Tum (lao style papaya salad with the dark and fishy sauce - the only way I like it)Honestly, everything is authentic and delicious! It’s a simple spot. You order first and then take a seat. Your food will come out fast and hot. Don’t expect a waitress to take your order here.

My first time here. After the good reviews and pics I saw on Instagram I decided to drop by. I dined in and I ordered the pad see yew. My wife ordered one of the noodle soup I forgot the name. It had red curry and the bowl was filled half-way. Not even to the top. It was delicious but very small portions on a small paper plate that I got. Me and my wife was still very hungry afterwards. And the meal with drinks and tip was 40 bucks. I felt cheated because we were both still hungry and afterwards we went to Little Caesars because of such a small portions we got. Also, there was no restroom that I could use while I was there. The dining area was small. Its not worth coming back.

This food and customer service is great. The eating space is a bit small but you can sit inside and enjoy your meal. Parking is shared with other businesses. The Thai ice tea is my favorite ? not too sweet and their size large cup is huge.

Came here around lunch time with a group of eight and the food came out pretty quick. We got an array of different foods but I got the pad see ew with shrimp and tofu, mango sticky rice and butterfly tea. Absolutely delicious fried pork belly...wish I had gotten my own plate instead of stealing off my friends plate!

Had to do an errand out here and decided to pickup dinner in the LBC for something different. Looked up this place and the food is delicious. Got the Laotian version of papaya salad in the somtum platter. Everything we got was really good. My family and grandparents enjoyed eating everything.

Excellent. Favorites:Lao sausage, savory, slightly herby, rustic, hits all the right notes. I'm a sucker for a plate of excellent sausage 5/5 Pad woon sen (woonsen): I'm not a fan of rice vermicelli, most places don't do it right and are too soggy. This was spot on, and IIRC with a tinge of soy sweetness, along with lots of nice veg. 4.5/5Pad Kee mao: excellent, wide flat noodles that were slithery and savory with a good mix of bright fresh vegetable crunch. Similar to pad see ew but with more vegetables. 5/532oz Thai iced tea: I like that I can get a ridiculously large Thai ice tea here. And it's pretty darn good! 6/5 stars!!!Oh yeah we will come back here for sure. We have a winner for excellent Thai food! Spot on flavors.

Food was delicious everything was so good . The service was very fast price was decent for the amount of food you got . The decoration was simple not much the only thing that I didn't like it was that it was very small space and the table was very sticky. And there is no bathroom there oh I almost forgot the parking lot was very packed and busy hard to find a parking.

Owl owl is located in a strip mall on willow. Kinda hidden off willow, across the street from Costco. There are very few tables. You order at the counter. It's a very plain, bare bones eatery. But, the food is excellent. In my opinion, some of the best Thai food in long beach. The menu is small but the food is consistently delicious. The parking lot fills fast as it's kinda small and the stores are busy. Owl owl does a good business with good food. I cannot wait to return to try more dishes.

I like how this establishment has both Thai and Lao food. In a plaza with plenty of parking.Somtum platter: has a good mix of the must have sides and starters. You can get Thai or Lao papaya salad (difference is that the Lao papaya salad uses the fermented fish sauce), chicken wings, moo ping (pork meat sticks) & Lao sausage (pork sausage mixed with herbs). Owl fried rice: mixture of proteins, pineapple and they use curry powder.Pad Thai: a classic that they do well. I get mine with shrimp.Pork belly: fried with a crispy skinAll of it was seriously delicious. You can modify how spicy you want the papaya salad. You can dip the meats in a kind of sweet sauce or use the jeow som which is sour is slightly with a kick.

I went to Long Beach to visit my friend and I am southeast Asian. I couldn't believe when I yelped Lao food and this one popped up. I love khaopoon and kapiek! I did Uber eats and got the khaopoon! My gosh the broth was soooooo good. The only reason why I am giving a 4/5 is because they barely give you any noodles and just a lot of veggies. I also ordered the crispy pork and it just tastes like any crispy pork, but the reason why it was good is because of their sauce. Also wished I had more of the chili sauce because I finished half of the pork and the sauce was done. I hope to come back and try something else on the menu. I believe it would be worth the taste still to come here.

This place! I crave owl owl. Bot noodles, moo ping, som tam, it's all amazing. Get extra of their spicy jaew and sticky rice, you'll thank me on that one. The staff is super friendly as well. I am a big fan of this spot, it on my best of lb list.
