love this little cafe… however service & amenities are quite sad. Could get more for our coffee & beverages at the Local 7-11. For weeks we’ve been coming to get Hot Cocoa & Oatmeal. For weeks the answers been No. sorry “our machine is down for Hot Chocolate & hot drinks. Say what? How sad that your staff looks at your guests dead-eyed & acknowledges customers have been unhappy. Hey Corner Bakery corporate - let’s get it together & give Simi Valley the attention & love it deserves! How about an actual coffee bar (counter) as well. So sparse every single time we’re here. No napkins, no silver or plastic ware. No brown/raw sugar. One or two very used cream carafes. No vanilla cream. Because of ur convenient location we put up with this sub-par care & hope that one day your corporate folks might care enough to do something about it. Maybe even DAZZLE your customers & you’ll make better profits! A win/win don’t you think?

I have eaten at the Corner Bakery quite a few times. Haven’t been there for about 6 month. I had lunch there with my daughter. I ordered Baked Potato/cheese/bacon soup. I ordered a bowl, got a cup and the soup was horrible. It was so thick, had no taste, and the bacon, was like the kind you get in the store, in a plastic bottle. My daughter’s ordered a cup of soup, and and a meatball sandwich. Her soup was warm, and it looked like they took 1 meatball and cut it up to cover the. Panini, and it didn’t even look like meat, I was very surprised at the food, the potato soup was why we went there. And it looked like they only had 1 person doing the cooking. And our table was not clean it had crumbs on it, from the last person who ate there.???

I remember the good food from Corner Bakery in the past. I just used a gift card for this same place and I was very disappointed. Dining area was nearly empty of customers but several tables were with dirty dishes & several tables had not been cleaned from previous customers as there were spills on tables. We ordered & moved from table to table looking for clean area to sit and wait for food order. I went up to counter to request my coffee cup & walked over to coffee counter that was also not clean & discovered two empty creamer containers & an empty sugar container. I took the empty containers to the front order counter to request sugar & cream & they did not bring the cream & sugar to counter to see that the coffee counter was in need of cleaning & refilling. I selected my coffee of which came out of container Luke warm. When soup & sandwiches arrived they were not tasty & had no flavor. We looked around the dining area & seen how there is no attention to cleanliness & no focus in providing good & hot food. As we were eating we saw one of the employees picking up dishes from a table & did not wipe table top with clean towel after collecting dishes. She left table without wiping table top. My wife & I sadly agreed not to return to this Corner Bakery Restaurant again.

He i such a sweet owner and gave my kid a birthday cake. Super friendly.Had coffee with almond milk, bagel and chocolate muffin.We will come back again!!!
I wouldn’t give the Simivalley location even a one star if that was an option. Ordered a garden gate scrambler with sausage and it was cold not room temperature but cold as in placed on the plate straight out of fridge and when asked they just microwaved it and gave it back. I was also given two pieces of toast with this plate, one was ok, but the other had a bite taken out of it.I usually go to the one is Westlake Village, highly recommend it.

Service is less than ideal. Tables were left with trays and leftover food from other customers. You would think there would be someone cleaning the tables because there was literally no space to sit. I had to move a tray and clean my own table. Food was served warm, not hot. Tasted bland.

Took a long time to refill (not employees fault, she got busy and was the only one working). The patio was full of dirty dishes on the tables and papers on the floor. Another employee to keep up coffee and patio is needed!
