Me and wife were here in Simi Valley and came across the restaurant on 4/17/2024 .We decided to go in for lunch and give it a try and I'm glad we did .We got seated right away and had the best waitress by the name of Chelsea who gave me options on what to order great personality. I ordered Ceviche which was delicious and also a Carnitasada Mojado style burrito with a Modelo Michealda delicious. My wife ordered the lunch special 2 tacos ? we loved this place .I asked to speak to the Manager to leave a good feedback on out Waitress we were lucky to get greeted by the owner himself Jose who happened to be a great person himself .We will definitely be back .Vegetarian options: Plenty optionsParking: Huge shopping center so tons of parking.Kid-friendliness: I'm sure it is we didn't have our kids when we were there .Wheelchair accessibility: Tons of room

Cool new spot. We went when it first opened because it was something different. Love the atmosphere, can be loud, good drinks.. food was okay.. could of been what we ordered tho.. if you like quiet places, ignore going here lol. It’s loud and fun! Also they have 1$ taco Tuesdays so it’s a win!

Was in town for business. Stopped by here out of convenience. I could see this as a nice meet up spot to grab a drink with friends. Ambiance and service were great. I ordered the ceviche. It was terrible. For one, the presentation, although creative, was not functional for consumption. It did taste old. Not, going bad old. But, maybe made a day or two prior. The shrimp was chewy and gray.

It was the first time we visited this place and I can only say that I really recommend it, the service of our waitress Gema was really friendly, attentive and very helpful. I really recommend that you visit this restaurant.

I met with a couple of former coworkers for Margarita Monday and some snacks. From the moment I walked in, service was excellent. I told the hostess that I had a reservation for 1, but that some others were going to be joining me (unsure how many). Due to having bad knees, I asked for a high top table. She told me to sit where I liked. A few minutes later I was greeted by a server who took my drink order. Within a minute or two after that, someone came by with chips & salsa and asked if I had been helped. The guava margarita was delicious. My friends joined me a few minutes later and ordered the Chupacabra margarita and a cucumber margarita. They both said their drinks were good. After catching up over a couple cocktails each, we ordered a few happy hour food items. The taquitos, buffalo wings and loaded asada fries were all delicious. Throughout the evening, service was excellent. Our waiter checked to see if we needed additional drinks or anything else to eat throughout our stay. Several of the tables had birthdays which were met with quite the celebration! Great to see the staff take part in recognizing someone's special day. The only negative thing about the location are the high ceilings and openness of the building that make it rather noisy. Not so much that you can't carry on a conversation at your table, just not a quiet one.

Been here about 8 times in the last 12-14 months. The food is okay at best. There are definitely better places for Mexican food in Simi. I like to go multiple times before writing a review. However, the service is consistently bad. I think out of the eight times we've been there it's been okay twice. Regardless of Taco Tuesday night or any other week night, the service is consistently bad. Always slow to come to the table for initial drink order, have to ask for things multiple times (refills, chips, settings, napkins, etc). There are always multiple managers on, but they seem absolutely clueless and don't seem to have a concern for how bad the service is. On this particular night multiple tables were getting up and going to the service area/kitchen in the back asking where their food was, asking when they would get refills, asking for checks. You know things are bad when multiple tables are getting up and trying to self serve themselves. Very poor management. Service, Prices, and Food are much better elsewhere in Simi.

Very fun atmosphere, food was flavorful, alcoholic drinks were good really enjoyed the margarita flight where you get to taste 4 of their margarita flavors. Waiter was helpful, professional, and attentive. Overall a very good experience

The service was horrible. Took 10 min to get a waitress & 5-10 to bring us drinks & chips. Took our order & other tables who ordered after us got their food before us. They gave us another tables order, told us to keep their order & ours would be out shortly. 30 min later 1/2 of our came out. The manager was extremely rude and said sorry we r busy and tickets are all messed up. We will not be going back anytime soon

I love the music, the drinks options, and over all environment of kalaveras. If anything I struggled with the decision to sit down and eat or getting up and dance lol but ultimately I ate cuz food is life.

The food is fantastic. Yhe drinks are fantastic. The service is fabtastic.The decor is cool for what it is. It follows the newer trend in Mexican restaurants of neon signs, gray tone paints, and some pop culture art. I definitely prefer the old dark booths and black velvet look, but that's just me, I'm old lol.
