Don't like that this restaurant always tries to avoid orders, it's like they don't like to work. It's 7:20 & I tried to call to place sn order and they always send you to Voicemail. Not the first time this happened. If they don't wanna take order they should close early and update their hours.

The first thing I want to point out is the ambiance, service, and prices here are excellent and the reason why I am giving stars. However I ordered a chicken burrito and I didn't receive much chicken. It was loaded with beans and didn't have a very good flavor. Most of the pieces of chicken I did eat were tendons/fat. I'm not giving up on the place but I would not recommend burritos here. Some happy hour tacos/drinks might be safer next time

Exceptional Mexican food. They're affordable, tasty and good family style service. I would gladly support this business every time and would highly recommend.

Not a bad place but not great either. People say you can learn a lot from the rice and beans served at a Mexican spot and the rice and beans were ok. You have to pay for chips n salsa even when eating in. The chicken enchiladas were nothing too exciting. The Asada is not a traditional kind and very fatty.

Little hike in the wall but the food is amazing and fresh. The service is great. I love the ceviche, among everything else.

The tacos were fantastic and then I had a burrito and was blown away by the taste, freshness of the tortilla, and overall flavor. I will definitely be coming back here as much as I can!

Sad to say, we will not be back! We were hoping for a nice dinner, however I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo Plate which was terrible, do not order it. The shrimp was overcooked (rubbery), the vegetables consisted of overcooked and oily bell peppers only. They charged for chips and salsa (crazy). Sad, since I know this is a family run business, but the one in Simi has gone downhill. We were the only ones there at 7pm on a Saturday night.

Staff is always so friendly and they support community events. Indoor or outdoor dining. Love the weekly specials, as well as happy hour. Today was hard shell taco special. We started with queso fundido for six of us, so good.

Their tacos are fantastic but the service is lacking. I used to come here at least once a week but my debit card being charged three times for three different amounts and the lack of drink refills has put us off from this spot. It's not that the food isn't good- their fish tacos are some of the best I have had & would recommend them to anyone- it's just the service that leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely not a quick lunch spot- but their to-go is awesome! Restaurant has always been clean and sanitary in my experience.

Dietary restrictions: I tried it a long time ago loved it, but the one in simi valley right down tapo is closed. I don't know if it's temporary or permanently closed.

I can't accurately review this restaurant however I'll tell you we waited over 17 minutes to get anything to drink , when our drinks finally came the gal put down our margaritas and the bottom of my glass broke off and margarita spilled on my lap and even into my shoes. That was just a fluke - the waiting to get a drink of being offered chips and salsa until they can get to us , was completely unacceptable. We were ready to walk out before this broken glass incident . I think the margarita ruined my shoes . But my husband said no I think the drinks are coming . We had to drive home and I had to shower before going out again . The gals were very nice and obviously understaffed . Not a good date night place in my opinion.

I just moved from Denver and was craving some tacos. I was on my way to El Pollo Loco when I passed by Luna Llena. The patio seating out front caught my eye so I made a pivot and went on inside. I ordered 3 tacos a la carte. One chicken, one carne asada, and one shrimp. The chicken was well seasoned. The shrimp was my favorite. I thought the carne asada needed more seasoning and a bit more salt, but it was still good beef and it was topped with fresh onion and cilantro. The tacos are loaded onto two tiny tortillas, they're super cute!

Good food but been by this location on different days with their open sign on and they won't serve in person. Or the door is straight up locked. Lost a customer.
