To the Friendly lady who suggested the Hot Plum Saki. OMG!! Thank you so much for the suggestion of the Hot Plum Saki. It was delish!! The servers were friendly, the food was delishious and no waiting. Wonderful atmosphere. We look forward to visiting them again.

I used to really like this restaurant. But their service and business practice have declined recently. We were given a menu by the waitress/owner. She told the 3 of us that the menu is 4 years old and the price is $1-$2 more. (Is it really that hard to update the menu?)When we get our check, the prices were $2 more per order compared to their menu and it also auto included a 18% tips.I gave them my credit card and they came back with the receipt that included everything in total and ask for more tips.Honestly 18% tips is pretty decent but the way they charge customer without telling them they will be charge and have been charged is very sneaky.At first I thought they were just lazy about not updating or printing new menus. But after the whole experience I think they purposely not update their menu and tips policy to collect more.

I used to like this place, but not any more.The tempura was not tempura as the thick batter covered the ingredients and was oily. I order tempura because it's hard to make at home, but I could have made a better tempura at home than what they served.When I got the check, Bento Box was $2 more than what the menu showed. They said that was the old price shown, and the price went up. There was no correction on the menu. They should have honored the old price for their laziness.The place was empty at 1 pm, and maybe there's a reason. I won't be back for sure.

We were the last customers in after our Back to School shopping at Kohl's. Our server was great and the food looked great! All tasted well- I hot the sushi dinner, kids hot tempura dinner and teriyaki salmon dinner, my son got the salmon dinner. All was well until my other son, who also got the sushi dinner, ate his shrimp from his sushi dinner. It was the last piece that he ate. We finished and left and he got ill outside of the restaurant. He literally got sick in the bushes by one of the servers vehicles, as the server/chef was walking out! He feels strongly that it was the shrimp. I feel horrible as it was quite an expensive dinner night!!!Had to ask for refills of water and hot tea, but overall great food par that piece of raw shrimp...

Though I haven't been here in awhile the last time I went the food was excellent and so was the service. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and there is not much of a wait rather a walk in because of there being plenty seating and enough staff. When I go around 5:00PM - 7:00PM is usually somewhat busy but normally walk in. I'd love to come back soon and can't wait to.

So I went out to lunch with my old boss and the owner of the company and he was raving about this place there was one paper in the middle of the table and the menu which had pictures on it I ordered a rainbow roll and some fish sashimi and they also ordered stuff tell me why when it came all the fish almost looks identical we don't know what anything is all my fish was eaten then as it's all gone out very young nervous waiter then says oh you should have asked me to Clair's what was what I'm like it's a little too late the fish I did have tho was very salty overall not disappointing the roll tasted very good but it's like a generic run of the mill sushi spot nothing impressive I basically had one roll and 2 pieces of fish paid 100 bucks cause the bill was 200 not very happy won't be coming here go to Hikari AYCE I'm giving 3 stars cause they refilled my water mutiple times

This is our go to sushi spot. The Saba, mackerel, sushi and the spicy tuna on crispy rice are always on our order. The Saba is always fresh and the little bit of lemon zest on top of the fish provides a nice bit of acid. The gyoza appeared to freshly made. The vegetables were crispy and the dumpling had great flavor. The ahi sashimi with Japanese salsa was really good. The diced tomatoes and red onions gave the dish some texture. Now for the really fun stuff. On the special board we saw sweet shrimp and live scallops so we decided to order them. The sweet shrimp had a beautiful shimmering color and the flavor was outstanding. Next came the live scallop. It was served on its shell. One side of the shell had thin slices of the scallop with fresh wasabi. The scallop was amazing. On the other side of the shell was sautéed onions, mushrooms and the innards of the scallops. These were so good. Then the server brings out the heads of the sweet shrimp. They were tempura fried. The juices from the head were present and the head was so crispy and juicy all at the same time. Lesson learned, next time make sure to always try the specials. A great meal.

Atmosphere is good but tempura is very bad. We have the bento box. The tempura was so soft and plain, not good at all. The beef teriyaki was ok but the soup was warm, it should be a bit hot not just warm. The service was good.
