You'll never get them on the phone, but the food tastes good. This has been a go-to breakfast place for my husband and dogs. They have outdoor seating for pups on the back patio as well as a side patio. The restaurant looks like a house that was converted and is pretty spacious on the inside. The servers are formerly, but a little slow as it gets super busy here. As a pro-tip, if you ever can't get seated inside or you are in a hurry or just want something casual, you can go to Claire's Too, the little building to the left of the restaurant and order everything you want from the same menu and then eat it at the picnic tables nearby. We see a lot of bikers doing it and I've done it several times. They are dog friendly and even have a doggie menu!! The reason why I give them 3/5 stars is because the service is slow and the to-go food isn't always correct and the quality is sometimes bad. Also, if you've EVER tried to call them the phone will ring for hours and hours and I've asked them before and they say there phones don't work but it's really just that they don't want to answer or are too busy to care. In order to get a seat you have to walk in, which I would recommend between 8:40-930 for quicker service OR if you play it smart you can go on Yelp and add yourself to the waitlist while you're on your way there so when you arrive you're near the front of the line and don't have to wait long. Now, the food! Our go-to is the eggs Benedict, the classic breakfast which includes two eggs, hash browns, and bacon. The hash browns are winners here. They are perfectly crispy and cooked. The downside is that for to-go I have had crispy browns that have been smothered in butter and were just not good. The bacon is usually good and is crispy and not too fatty. But I've also had to-go bacon that was super fatty and pretty chewy so I stopped ordering it. The eggs Benedict are good and have a nice portion of sauce. The chilaquiles are also good here and aren't too dry. Watch out if you get it to go because they will serve it deconstructed sometimes and that defeats the purpose. Their orange juice is fresh squeezed and very tasty and they have a HOMEMADE vanilla bean yogurt that is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. I have made a trip here just to order it. They have yummy pastries and their cold brew is decent for those who like coffee. All in all, very good place to come and eat for some good classic breakfast items! It is a popular place so plan ahead. There is also a large parking lot and so you don't have to worry about that.

have been here a few times, every time was a win! no matter what you order it will be excellent. I had the hash which was fantastic, another time had something with pesto. Everything is high quality and made with love

Claire's came recommended by a few locals so we made it a point to stop here on a weekday vs wknd to avoid the crowds. This place was packed on a Tuesday morning so that was definitely a good sign of things to come. Adorable house turned business with a spacious outdoor seating area in the back. We were on the cusp of breakfast and lunch and opted for breakfast because who doesn't love a hearty breakfast?? My friend and I split avocado toast and the parmesan risotta and honey cured bacon Benedict, which is officially one of my fave breakfasts I've had this year. Instead of a muffin, it's served on cream cheese risotto cakes which are literally the chefs kiss! The avocado toast was unforgettable, I think mostly because it was just served all by itself on a plate and just looked sad. They give you little cookies when you pay but honestly forget about them since we were so full.

Absolutely the best brunch place in San Diego. The food is so fresh, the service is great, and really great casual, coastal vibes.

Great find in the San Diego area. I came here for weekday breakfast and there was no wait. They have parking outside which was easy. The place is cute, especially the backyard area. Great weather, great servie with friendly staff. So many options for breakfast and coffee! Really good menu, I tried their california omelette and lemon ricotta pancakes (highly recommend). Everything was delicious and their staff is very attentive! There are nice areas to walk nearby- 9 min walk is Fletcher Cove. Definitely must visit!

Food is amazing. Party of six and each meal was even more delicious than the other . The food is worth the waiting time. Even in the busiest time our server was attentive and kind. Highly recommend.

I want to like them more, but there are better options in Solana Beach minus the long wait. To me the coffee is below average and that is a nonstarter for a breakfast spot. As for lunch, plenty of options that are all solid meals.

This place never disappoints. From benedicts to pancakes they have it all. Go early or join the waitlist because there is usually a long wait for breakfast. Cute outdoor seating along with a coffee shop next door if you need to wait

They even have food for pups! My Mocha Latte was smooth and silky. The scrambled eggs, sausage, and side of spinach was the perfect little small portion. We sat in the back outside and the weather couldn't have been better. The people who work here are delightful. Parking is across the street. If you want to stroll around after this is a great spot to start at.

A local gem! I don't know how I've gone all this time and never had brunch here! Packed, even on a rainy Saturday morning, but for good reason. We had the breakfast grilled cheese with sausage and tomato and the vanilla bean French toast. The bread here is fantastic. For the grilled cheese, it was melty, cheesy and balanced. I'd opt for just the tomato next time but the sausage addition was good. The French toast was well seasoned and had a nice crust on the outside to complement the soft, sweet bread. Will definitely be back to try more things and their lunch menu next time!

My husbands loves the french toast with berries here! I have tried several dishes and they were okay, I think their French toast is the only thing I personally would go for.

We love Claire's so much. It's a must have when we are in San Diego; in fact we usually go twice! The ambience is lovely and the menu is diverse. Would recommend Claire's to anyone!
