The Big Bopper combo was just okay. The meat was not seasoned well, the bun was overwhelming and it was generally bland with just mayonnaise as the only condiment. The Wester Viking burger was much better with BBQ sauce but smaller.

VERY expensive for an OK burger and very small amount of fries. $25 for 2 burgers and 1 order of fries (no drinks). Very long wait as well, given there were only a few people there. I suppose because it's a tourist town. Should have gone to any one of the numerous fast food restaurants in nearby Buellton

My family and I came here to eat while visiting Solvang. The guy who took our order seemed to be in a bad mood; he seemed bothered by us being there. Also, prepare yourself to pay for any condiments; the ranch is $1 each. The food was okay, but not the best; also, they do not serve your burgers on a plate; they put them straight on the tray, which I doubt is washed after every use. Also, the guy rounded the payment without authorization; my total was around $37, but he charged $40. It is not much if he wanted to get a tip, but it is not the right thing to do.

Extremely disappointed with service, cost and quality of burger, upon looking at this burger joint it screams awesome however it came up severely lacking the burgers at cal tacos in Goleta are half the price and double the quality the service at cal tacos was amazing always a smile. This place the guys look like they don't want to be there. I am actually sorry to post such a bad review I usually keep it positive but I couldn't do it.

Atmosphere was great, staff took a while to attend me and others, I could hear them just chit chatting. No friendly greeting, just a stare. The bun was a little to big for the burger. No taste on the meat. Overall just a basic burger. Enjoyed the fries, just not the portion size.

Menu was large, may be a little too much for some but certainly enough for variety. They had 3 different menus, a little overwhelming to look over. However, the cook/cashier was very friendly, the food came out quick in about 5 minutes and it was delicious. We had 2 hamburgers and 1 carne asada taco. Hamburgers tasted fresh. The taco had a nice cook on the tortilla, carne asada was tender and juicy, onions were cooked, and the hot sauce that came with it had a deep depth of flavor and perfect level of spiciness. Went last night and we're going back today!

You can walk up and order your food. I ordered an order of chicken fingers with fries and a pink lemonade. The menu also has Mexican food options and of course burgers. They have outdoor seating available. The fries were crinkle cut and had a delicious seasoning. If you're looking for fast food this is the place to stop while in Solvang.

This is the greatest experience I have had my whole time being in Solvang, I got the viking burger and oh my goodness it was wonderful. The meat was cooked to perfection the bun was crispy and the tomatoes were juicy. The food came very quickly but was not rushed. Although it looks like a whole in the wall, I can assure it's better than any burger spot in solvang.

There is nothing big about this place except the prices. Here you'll find a staff that barely speaks English, and in a place that is supposed to represent what I take from the name "Big Bopper drive in" is a 1950s burger "Drive-in" ? Although there was no drive in service at all. In the car port there were electric rental cars parked for rent with a makeshift charging station using the drive ins electricity. Making little room for actual customers. Let's get to the food.. we ordered two orders of taquitos, a side of beans, and chili cheese fries. The food comes out and the server did not give us forks. I was charged $3 for a side of bacon that is what I assume since he didn't know how to charge for a side of beans. The tiniest cup of beans I've ever seen and they were absolutely dry and cooked horribly. Each order of taquitos were so small and poorly executed. Along with the chili cheese fries. All of these items were served in a very TINY paper tray much like the kind you would use just for ketchup at a regular American burger stand. Tiny tray and tiny portions. All for a whopping $35. This places days are numbered.

Good food, shopworn and faded/dated but clean. Nothing off the chain inspired but a solid menu. Drive-in section no longer in use.
