tl;dr: unprofessional behavior, slow service, mid fries I made a mistake reading the menu. Had to send back the food due to having ALLERGIES to an ingredient feeling bad and the manager came and gave me a menu pointing out what I misread on the menu. I apologized and felt bad but he then proceeded to tell OTHER CUSTOMERS and be loud about the instance. Made me feel really UNCOMFORTABLE knowing that he was talking bad about me out-loud to everybody. Mistakes happen and I felt bad but it's inappropriate to be bad mouthing a customer. Then when we asked him for the bill, we never got it and had to ask another waiter for it. The fries weren't great either. It wasn't like I was asking for the meal to be taken off the bill so it was surprising to be met with such bad behavior.

I came here for the chicken pot pie and it didn't disappoint. That along with the Poutine and guacamole bacon burger were all delicious. It was a raining day and the restaurant is welcoming and cozy. The absolute best thing about the experience was the staff. Mikala was AMAZING. As the rain came down more, more people started to come in and all areas of the restaurant had people in them and she never missed a beat. She was alone in the front and there was the cook in the back and together they helped everyone in a timely manner. I was impressed by her calm demeanor and ability to attend to everyone and get the food out and refill drinks. bus tables and still smile the whole time. As busy as it was there was no pressure feeling or rush to leave. I will for sure visit again the next time we are in town.

I wish I had taken the time but we ate it all! Hubby kiddo and I had the Bangers and Mash, Chicken Pot pie, and bread pudding. The food was amazing, excellent service as well. We will definitely be back!

You either leave a review when it's really really good, or really really bad, Fitzpatricks Tavern is really really good!! Came in with a big party, our server was really nice and kind and patient (especially because of our party size). We had to wait a little longer than usual for our food BUUUUUT, it was worth the wait, the food was amazing!!! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. We had the chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken pot pie, lamb shank, salmon burger, Irish nachos and everything was beyond delicious!! We were also celebrating a birthday and their birthday announcement was so welcoming and awesome!! It was our first time here and we will definitely have to be back!!!

We visit Solvang at least once a year and found this gem. The atmosphere and decor is top notch. We came in for lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was amazing. The Reuben is one of the best I have ever had and the onion rings were perfect. The America cheeseburger was a big patty and cooked to perfection, loved the thick cut fries. We ordered a Shirley temple and found out they serve a substitute Shayley Temple. If you haven't had one, try it!! So taste.

Absolutely horrible service. It took 15 minutes to get any help, an additional 15 minutes to get our waters, and then only half of our tables order was taken. Irish nachos were pathetic. Don’t get them. Horrible service all around. Food was grossly undercooked and now all of our party has the runs. Thank you for the horrible service!

A typical tavern or pub featuring fairly good food. The fish and chips were excellent - the fish was mild and flaky. The coleslaw that was on the side was bland - just tasted like mayonnaise and cabbage. The Irish Nachos were very good with corned beef on top of fresh cut potsto slices.

Great Irish Pub... Great for a dram and a pint. Pub food and a little more. Service is great and it's a festive place in a great location. Summer time concerts across the street in the park make it even better.

Offer a bathroom for people spending money.Also. You shouldn’t be allowed to call this place a tavern.Irish pub with no Irish whiskey.. lame.Your bartender made sure to tellMe that it was because the owners can’t afford the liquor license. Also another guest made sure to direct us to a real bar. This town is lame

It's my birthday today (2/23) and my family and I were interested in checking this place out for lunch. But when one of us went to ask the server if we seat ourselves or does she seat us, she was 100% rude in her response. And trust me when I say that I can be a bit sarcastic and rude as well, so I can tell when someone else is being that way. I was not ok with her treating my family member that way. So I let her know that some of us were in the restaurant industry too so we understand that she was busy, but her attitude and response was unnecessary. She couldn't even be an adult with a backbone and apologize and own up to her rudeness. Instead she was being a coward and was saying she didn't feel that she was being rude. Even while she was saying that, she was being rude again. We were very disappointed. For her being in the service industry she should do better and check her attitude, especially with people who were just asking a simple question with no attitude.

Fitzpatrick's Tavern in Solvang is a cozy restaurant and bar for comforting, hearty fare that hits the spot. Their chicken pot pie and shepherd's pie are standout dishes, generously portioned and perfect for sharing. Each bite bursts with flavor, delivering creamy deliciousness that warms the soul. While the onion rings received praise, the mac and cheese fell slightly short, being a bit on the dry side. The only downside was the lengthy wait caused by understaffing during the holidays, but given the exceptional food, it's worth the patience for a truly satisfying meal.

We came for an overnight trip to Solvang and this restaurant was one of only a few restaurants that were open for dinner on a Monday night, so we went. We would have been better off not eating at all than going to this place. The tables were so sticky that my purse stuck to the table. The food sounded great, and we were excited, but it was terrible! First, they had a 4 Cheese Mac and Cheese as an appetizer, which sounded odd, so we thought we would try that. It was so running and had no real flavor at all, we wondered where the 4 cheeses went. I ordered the Bangers and Mash, excited to try something different and I was so disappointed. The sausages were tasteless and over cooked, the mash was cold and covered with a very odd, dark sauce/gravy. My daughter had the Shepherds pie and she said it was tasteless, bland, no flavor at all. To top it all off we both asked for water with no lemon and instead got lemon water and when we asked for new glasses of ice water with no lemon the waitress gave us a strange look. I don't recommend this place at all. Maybe it was a bad night so if you choose to go here remember that you were warned.

We had the fish and chips and the Irish nachos. Both were very good! The server, who may be the owner or manager was attentive and friendly.
