I came here with my family we where a party of 13 person said they couldn't accommodate us because we needed a reservation (mind you the restaurant was empty) and a big party like ours would need a set menu what is that ? She was not making eye contact at all I felt very discriminated against.

Decided to go to here based on the reviews and the recommendations of where we were staying. We made a reservation the day before to make sure we were able to be seated. Got there at our reservation time and were seated promptly, although directly in the doorway so everyone coming in and out of the restaurant as well as the servers going in and out were continually walking by. There is no children's menu hence no children's drinks. One size fits all. The servers seemed very interested in catering to the locals that were there chatting them up and giving them prompt service. Us...not so much. I had ordered the focaccia to come out first. Which it didn't. I understand that it is fresher baked, but it literally came out after all the rest of the food. Waitress's comment was... "Oh yeah you wanted that out first." My husband had ordered an americano when we ordered drinks initially and never got it. It terms of value I just don't see it. My husband got 5 ravoli for $35, but my son and I split a whole pizza for $27. Overall the food was good, not great., but service plus value made for the 3 star rating.

Didn't actually get a chance to eat here, even though we wanted to. Walked in at 7:40 for a party of 7 and they closed at 8:30pm... They didn't want to seat us. Definitely did not feel welcomed. If I could give zero stars I would. Happily recommend Leonardo's! Walked in at 8:15pm and they close at 9pm - thank God we didn't have to feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman again! Thank you Leonardo's for your hospitality!!

I came here in December 2023 but just found the receipt and had to leave a review. This is an unassuming authentic Italian restaurant in the back of a plaza in Solvang. It is just around the corner from the Mermaid statute and probably a better time! We arrived after having a long wait and a disappointing dinner at a Danish restaurant nearby. It was late, but we walked by and thought, a slice of pizza would be nice and they seated us right away. We sat at the bar, the kitchen is open, bustling, the owner is sipping on wine and working with his staff. Its a fun and lively environment. We ordered the Quattro Stagioni, Polpette Al Sugo, and their Tiramisu - so basically pizza, meatballs, and tiramisu. The pizza was so crispy and flavorful, the meatballs were so so delicious and cheesy, the tiramisu was perfect and not too sweet. The owner was lovely and chatted with us about how he ended up here in Solvang and opened this shop. Everything, including dessert, is made in house and he just has a electric oven that he makes pasta, pizzas, meatballs, and sometimes other dinners for parties. Overall our dinner here made our stay in Solvang much nicer and a fun memory. I would return here in a heartbeat if I return to Solvang!

Terrible food. The eggplant Parmesan was pure mush. Try another Italian restaurant and you'll be much happier. We have tried Toscana twice. We won't be back. The waitress slammed the other Italian restaurants. Hmmmm. Not good.

This place is fantastic. First tried it 5 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. Finally made it back to Solvang last week and had to stop in. Great place to bring a date and the food is amazing. We love their ravioli and margarita pizza.

I came here for a team dinner and the chef and staff here were more than hospitable. We were lucky enough to get a few recommendations, and none of the dishes disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection and they were able to accommodate all of our dietary restrictions. This place is a true gem.

Visited Slovang on a school trip, found this hidden place. Right off the bat, our waiter was welcoming and greeted us to our table. I decided to try their Margherita Pizza. Their pizza is thin which is something I liked - overall the pizza was fresh and really tasty! Will definitely come back again on my next visit.

I wish that I can give MINUS ZERO stars! worse place ever, if you are a Latino person AVOID to visit this place, you will be discriminated without any mercy. We were 7 people(3 kids and 4 adults), I was asking for a table (5:15pm) the patio was completely empty with the heaters on, this place only have 2 waiters, one is a blonde hair which has a very rude attitude that can go straight yelling at you and giving you attitude saying that there are no tables available for you, the other lady looks sweet but tells you the basically the same. , well she told me that they don't have tables available until 7:30pm.. at that time there were some tables inside, I asked her if she can seat us in the patio area, and she said that they weren't offering service there, I told her it was fine, we will wait, when my husband got there he went to ask to the "blonde" lady for a table and she said that she would ask.. her answer was yes with that "we don't want you here" attitude, but it would be at the patio and in two different tables, my husband accepted... 2 mins later another party of 11 people just arrived and they were welcomed by her and cleaning the tables from the dust and putting 3 tables together... by the way my husband asked her to clean up the table for us, and she just gave him a cloth towel to clean it up... in my opinion the food is overpriced, on top of that the ladies were practically ignoring us we just had 1 napkin that we were sharing with our 3 kids.... this was our fourth time there, we were so naive thinking that the ladies were just not trained for a customer service since they were so rude all the time eve though when they had been seen us before, and that didn't offer us just a simple smile, finally after this time we got the message: LATINOS ARE NOT WELCOME THERE, and of course we won't back again, we are paying for a very expensive pizza which is not the best, and for sure we deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy... DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE unless you would like to receive attitud, rudeness, and lose your appetite.

This is an amazing find! Was here with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we loved the food. Their pizza is one of the best I have ever had. They have quite a few vegetarian options.

Absolutely would not recommend this restaurant. After leaving it became obvious that we received extremely poor service due to my partner who happens to not be of white ethnicity. We walked into the restaurant and were stared at by all the employees. After asking if a table was available for us, a waitress by the name of Jessica pointed to a table in the corner and rudely said "you can sit there." She was not welcoming or friendly at all, and we noticed the table next to us got their drinks and food before us despite having ordered well after us. Also our wine order was never delivered, and we never got the chance to ask for it as Jessica would either disappear, or had to catch up chit-chatting with the other server. Fortunately there was an attentive employee who managed to refill our water glasses so we at least had something to drink. After taking around 30 minutes after finishing our food for us to get the check, we were walking out of the restaurant and received a passive aggressive "bye goodnight" in a cheerful tone which was the only time she had any upbeat personality. We thought it was a strange experience, but after reading the other reviews of other people of color it is obvious that this establishment chooses employees who discriminate against customer's ethnicity in the year 2024. Please do not support this restaurants pattern of discrimination against people of color just looking to have a pleasant dinner in Solvang.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant dining experience. We are visiting Solvang for the weekend and decided to check out this, " nice " restaurant. We waited outside to be seated for a bit but it started raining so we opened the door. We received absolutely no greeting from 3 cooks and 2 waitress standing behind the counter. My boyfriend had to greet them in order for us to be acknowledge. The only response we got was, " do you have a reservation" we kindly answered that we did not. If this is a reservation only restaurant, a simple, " Sorry, we only take reservations " would have been enough and we could have looked elsewhere and made a reservation for the following day, not a problem. The waitress said , " You can sit there " and pointed to a corner. Since we did not have a reservation, we were grateful the team chose to take us in. Our waitress , Jessica, was the most unpleasant server I have experienced in a while. She was passive aggressive and rude. We ordered before a group next to us, however, we received our food much later and NEVER got our drinks. There was a lovely girl walking around making sure our water cups were refilled. Luckily, we had water as our server never came back with our wine nor walked near enough for us to be able to request it from her. The lasagna was AMAZING ! The pizza's crust is exquisite. We have explored many Italian high end restaurants in California and this is very authentic food. If you can make a good impression on the staff, I'm sure you would enjoy your meal. We finally got in touch with Jessica and she brought over the check. As we were shuffling around to provide payment she said under her breath, " I'll come back with an iPad". At this point we were so frustrated that we timed how long it took for her to return. We waited for 20 minutes for her to return. We could see her laughing and giggling at the bar with the other waitress but waited patiently. 20 minutes later, Jessica returns and without a word, drops ( yea I mean drops ) the card reader and without saying a single word walks away. The service was so unfortunate we left with a sour taste in our mouth. I really hope this review serves as feedback for improvement of costumer service as service really does make a difference when you are dropping $100 on pizza. Edit: After reading the other negative reviews I come to realize as a Mexican woman I may have been discriminated against. Every single review that is negative has a Hispanic name... it makes sense why my table was treated so poorly as I was the only Hispanic person in that restaurant. I am even more shocked THE OWNER DEFENDS THIS WOMAN WHEN COSTUMERS COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. My white boyfriend Just experienced racism for the first time ! Do better Toscana !
