The best carbonara you will ever have. Perfectly cooked. The pesto dish here is a special and it’s a ricotta pasta flour gnocchi (no potato).

My dinner was tasty! I had the three-course prix fixe meal. Lucky for me, it was more than I could eat, so I have leftovers to look forward to. Thank you Gaetano for profiteroles, fabulous as ever.

This is a great place! Authentic Italian food with lots of great choices and specials. And everything is very delicious. The service is really good. Very warm, friendly and thorough and attentive. A great neighborhood place in a strip mall right near the Sonoma Market. I highly recommend it!

The best place ever!! Cook to order and it's just like you're walking into your Italian mum's place. Kimmy and her husband and staff make you feel at home. Food is amazing it's worth it. My boss Sandra Leland 89 years old has been coming here since this place has been opened so it says alot. And I've experienced it and it's pretty amazing basically extraordinary food and just wonderful people.

The restaurant is cozy and comfortable with two inside seating areas, and one heated outside space. Lots of privacy, both visual and audible. The chef is clearly having fun creating unique and delicious dishes. And responding to his customers' personal preferences. The wait staff is informed, thoughtful, efficient, and unobtrusive. I eat here every week. Why not?

Gaitano's food is always delicious - and Kim lights up the room with her warm, friendly personality. Mamma Tannino's is our favorite Italian restaurant in town. We love it!

I always enjoy dining with you at Mama Tanino's. The food is exquisite..EVERY TIME. table clothes would make a world of difference in the ambience and perhaps a broader wine selection by the glass. Thanks for being our special hidden gem in Sonoma. Ardyth Brock

We are not returning. After waiting and waiting and waiting fir our order, the adjacent table of eight was served, even though they arrived after we were seated. I am guesstimating perhaps 45 minutes to one hour of fruitless waiting. " Mamma?" eventually, served our meal, with some apologetic wine. but with no verbal apology, nor excuse. Too bad, we are locals who will not return .

Food was wonderful as always. Unfortunately they were short on kitchen staff so it took along time to get our food. Its ok though as we love this place and we understand it is mainly run buy a couple; the husband being the excellent Italian cook!

This restaurant is only open Friday Saturday and Sunday...so while in town for a long weekend we enjoyed dining there each of those 3 nights! This allowed us to sample many dishes including specials...from fried calamari to burrata board as appetizers, to a delicious salad with freshly picked figs from the chefs garden then stuffed with goat cheese and tenderly placed atop of field of perfectly dressed greens, to main courses like Chicken parm to Katrina's Vitelli, to a the special halibut with lemon caper sauce to a veal chop topped with a hearty mushrooms, to asparagus tortelloni in a sage butter sauce. Each night wrapped up with either a homemade canoli or tiramisu. We enjoyed starting each meal with a glass of Prosecco and pairing our first night's meal with a well balanced montepulciano but after having wine tasted at nearby cline cellars by day we switched it up and ordered their ancient vine zin for sat and sun night meals. The service was stellar with both Fox and Tiffany making sure everything was perfect at our table. There is outdoor dining available as well but we enjoyed indoor seating when we visited. One might not expect such an authentic Italian restaurant situated in the back corner of a plaza several blocks off the downtown square, but one will be genuinely delighted once you discover it and no doubt returning again and again!! We may even have to follow the owners to Italy when they return to the homeland for an annual visit because once you've dined here you'll feel like part of their big Italian family!

this may have been one of best finds ever. About 10 tables inside and 6 tables on patio (very small) Husband is Chef, Wife is hostess. Small menu, small kitchen, but GREAT staff, chef and food. I wanted something not on menu (but close) and he happily made it for me. Suggest reservations as it's that good, that small and that busy
