We arrived at the shop an hour prior to closing to celebrate our daughter's birthday who recently turned 21. We met Ori who was jovial and very hospitable. It was our 1st time here so he explained to us that after the wine tasting he will find the right bottle of wine for each of us. Ori started off with asking if we were looking for red, white, or both. Then the next question was if we like dry or fruity wine. We wanted both so he started us off with a bottle of dry white and asked us if we liked it then based on your answer he will let you taste different type of wine from small locally grown winery until he found the right bottle for each of the taster. We went thru the same process with red wines. Even though Ori does not drink wine, but he is very knowledgeable enjoys his job, very lively, fun, patience so it made our wine tasting experience very memorable . If you have never drank wine or does not know what you want to drink, I highly recommend visiting Ori and go thru the process. It will save you tons of money trying to figure out what kind of wine fits your taste. My wife and daughters walked out if their half drunk due to the amount of wine Ori offered to us. Very highly recommend you visit this shop

I walked in just to grab one bottle of wine after Ori greeted me I couldn't believe the pleasant surprise I had gotten into. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed, the atmosphere is super relaxed. He definitely knows what he's talking about and actually taught me what it was that I was actually into and what I wasn't into. It was the best experience I had during my trip! Would recommend this place 1000 times!

Stumbled upon this shop today walking around Sonoma to buy a bottle of wine. Walked out hours later after fun laughs and great conversation in a tasting with Ori. The most entertaining and personalized tasting I’ve been to. The wine was great, Ori knew exactly what I would like, cheese and gluten free crackers as well. We purchased a bottle at the end of the night. My sister and I would definitely come back next time we visit. If you’re ever in the area, definitely add this shop with Ori to your itinerary. The tasting experience and wine are both worth their price, you won’t regret it.

Stopped in 15 minutes before closing last night to pickup a bottle to bring back to our room. We were fortunate to meet the amazing Ori who can read your body language to pick out the perfect wine. We did not feel rushed and we left with something amazing.

This place is beyond 5/5. We called Ori the “Sommelier Mentalist”. He pays attention, reads you and hones in directly to your individual tastes. Whether you have 10 minutes or 2 hours, he will get you to where you need to go. We intended to just pop in for a minute and it ended up being the highlight of our day. We had such a fantastic experience, we will recommend Sonoma Wine Shop to anyone traveling to the area. You can’t go wrong here! (Visiting from Alberta, Canada).

Aury (I probably the spelling wrong, sorry!) made our day in Sonoma! Make sure you come in with 1h or so for the full experience. He’ll walk you through the wine tasting journey and he’ll tell you about what you like better than you could have done by yourself, and you’ll get many laughs on the way! Just such a fun time and delicious wines.

We stumbled upon this wine shop trying to get a bottle to go home before we left downtown for the evening and the owners service went above and beyond what we were expecting to get us the right bottle of wine. He also served us some cheese to show us how the wine flavors could change (& the cheese was 11/10)! When we come back next vacation we'll 199% stop here for authentic and personal wine recommendations.
