Visiting and just wanted good food...not only good food (salmon and hamburger steak),also French bread with cheese fondue, dessert, and had a early bird special! (3pm-6pm/2 dinners for 30.00$) Great food, atmosphere, service...they run a tight ship and it shows! Thanks for the great experience!Parking: Parking in front, but addional lot in the back!

I took my Aunt for her birthday. I had the Shrimp scampy "delicious" and my Aunt had the fish, deep fried Cod with a baked potato. She said it was fantastic. Then they brought out the peach bread pudding with icecream, with a bd candel and sang to my Aunt. It's her 90th!!! Thank you to the Gus crew for making her bd dinner very special!!!!

My husband and I usually enjoy dinning at Gus's however tonight we walked out due to the fact that we were there approximately 30 minutes and a waitress never came to take our order. Very disappointed.

Great claim chowder, excellent prime rib the booths are a bit dated and slight smell of mildew. Shrimp $$$ for frozen breded, bread yummy and the velveta cheese fondue is just thatHas an excellent drink selection and they are made wellService exceptional !!! Would go back just for the service

Great cheese fondue, very fresh bread with a crunchy crust. The early bird two for is a great value. I had the lemon chicken which was marvelous and sounded thin. Would strongly recommend!

Service was truly superb and above average! We didn't have a reservation, but the staff made every effort to get us seated within just 10 or so minutes. Throughout the evening our server was helpful and friendly even in a very crowded restaurant. While slightly run-down (the seats in our booth were sunken in, which made the table a bit uncomfortable), it was our food that was unfortunately below average. It lacked taste and a quality component; on the same par as Denny's, not a steak-house like we were anticipating. The cheese fondue was a great signature dish but tasted more like melted Velveeta (they would do better serving an fonina or gruyete based fondue instead).

Ate here for the first time last night. My husband and I arrived just after they opened at 3:00 with another couple. This was the first time the four of us had dined here. We were not disappointed, as we heard good things about this place. Great service at the fall bar when my husband arrived before our friends, and had a couple of drinks as we waited. We were pleasantly chatted up with the bartender and we felt very welcome. The humble atmosphere was "old school", as far as lay-out and decor. As a Boomer, this place reminded me of family restaurants we had grown up with during my growing-up years in the 60's and 70's that we loved dining at. We were all seated in a deep, comfy booth. The dining room was beginning to fill up quickly by 4pm, and you'll notice the dining room is very "tight" and tables close together, so you must be somewhat agile to weave through tight spaces. The staff is plentiful and they are bustling. We each chose from the Early Bird menu (selected dishes at the deep discount of two meals for $29.99 from 3:00-6:00pm) which starts out with good bread and fondue, delicious soup or salad; the entrees are flavorful and well prepared, desserts included. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. By 5:00 this dining room was full and because it is family oriented and tables closely spaced, be prepared for a noisy background, but somehow this brings a happy sound to add to the mix. Good date-place, but light conversation probably should be the topics of choice. My hearing is keen, but here, deep meaningful conversation should wait until you get back into the car. Bathroom facilities should probably get an update. But, other than that, great meals, friendly service, lots of attentive staff.

Loved the old school steakhouse feel for the place. Was greated by a lovely older gentleman, taken to my table and had a kind subtle chat.The server was right behind him with this wonderful fondue and fresh bread for starters. My steak was as ordered and still juicy and fresh.My only downside was the side of pasta was a bit chilly.
