We ordered online using the Panda Express App on Saturday late afternoon 4/6/2024. Got a comfirmation email that our order was getting prepared, we headed to pick it up and when we got there, the doors were locked and no one was in the store. Sign on the door said they were closing at 5pm that day. It was just before 5 that we arrived to pick up our order. It had only been about 15-20 minutes from the time of ordering to arriving at the store. They still charged my credit card for the food that we did not receive. No text message, phone call of email that they were closing early. Or that our food was ready, we were going to wait if we needed to to get our food hot. Called the store on Monday around 11 am, no answer. Still nothing from them 3 days later. Had to go on my bank and file a dispute with them. Need to update their app if they are not going to fill orders and close early.

Arrived at this place tonight at 8:10pm quite a long line, and it didn’t appear there were enough staff to cover the rush. Finally got to the head of the line at 8:35 to order a Bowl of brown rice and teriyaki chicken. Got informed that the people in front of me ordered the last of it, and even though they had made single servings of other items for the people in front of me, they would not make a single order for me. Screw this place. Next time I’ll skip this Panda, and go to the Mongolian BBQ across the parking lot.

Upon arriving at the restaurant just 20 minutes after its scheduled opening, we were surprised to find the doors still locked. Despite waiting briefly, no staff member approached the entrance to inform us about the delay or the expected opening time. This initial setback led to a sense of frustration, especially considering it was a rare day off for my wife and me.Eventually, we decided to leave as there seemed to be no indication of when the restaurant would open its doors. It was only after encountering a gentleman outside fixing the sign, that we learned many customers had already left.While we understand that unexpected technical issues can occur, effective communication and updates could have mitigated our disappointment. The incident highlighted a gap in customer service, as even a simple acknowledgment of the situation could have made a significant difference. The employees knew we were outside.Despite this setback, we acknowledge that Panda Express consistently delivers on its promise of familiar, flavorful Chinese-American cuisine. However, improvements in operational efficiency and customer service are areas that could enhance the overall dining experience at this location.

Food is pretty good and they replenish the options frequently, so it's fresh.
I go to the Sonora Panda Express frequently. The food is okay for what it is. I noticed that the portions are small for the price they charge for them but I've never made too much of it. The food has always tasted pretty decent until tonight I ordered a bigger plate for my mother and she got a chow mein, double order of honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef I got the same except I got orange chicken instead of broccoli beef. When I got the food home my mom was eating her shrimp when she bit into one that tasted like cleaner almost like pine sol she had me taste it to confirm and I tasted it too. As I was eating my shrimp I came across one that had the same kind of taste. I tried to call them to bring it to their attention but no one answered. It's one thing not to get something you ordered or the food to be slightly over cooked but it's another thing entirely when the food tastes like chemicals/cleaners

Since either the change in ownership or management but this business is running like a well oiled machine. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Such a nice change from the prior prior management/ownership.I had actually stopped coming here because of such bad service and wait time for food. I had time to waste waiting for a haircut a couple doors down and came inside, I don't know, just to be nosey and for something to do. I've been coming back ever since.It's not "big city" Chinese food, it's fast food. It's good and it's better than a couple of the sit-downs around town.My go-to: Honey walnut shrimp (eat them before they get too cold), teriyaki chicken (they give you lots so I can share some with my pup) and chow mein (better than the restaurants around town).
