I would rate everything at this place at a 0, if I could. I’ve been to multiple coffee shops & this was by a long shot, the worst coffee shop I’ve been to. I suggested trying this place w other people I was with & they all agreed. The coffee is watered down, filled w ice and it’s as if you’re basically paying to be served milk. The young guys working here don’t have a clue how to make coffee, how to talk to customers, it’s awful. They don’t have charisma, they talk very low, so you can barely hear them & if you ask for a recommendation from them… they are of absolutely no help! I don’t understand how the owner can hire someone who doesn’t know how to interact w customers or that have even tried their products. The coffee here isn’t worth a penny, better to save yourself money and make coffee at home that would for sure taste better. My coffee came out to 7ish bucks, they even charge 0.21 cents for using a credit card… this is 2024 & businesses are still charging credit card fees… absurd. We have already spread the word around, making sure people don’t try this awful place & I will continue to do so. The people leaving the ratings / reviews must be getting paid or are their family / friends because there’s no other way this place has such a high rating with an awful business.

Great experience overall! Got a cafe latte and it was very smooth and strong(but not bitter). Cherry cheese danish was recommended by the young girl(super sweet and kind) taking my order and it was REALLY GOOD. Super moist and the cherry wasn’t the artificial candied flavor. They go over the top to make sure you have everything you need. Luz really lights up the atmosphere and the rest of the staff is very welcoming. I wish these kind of coffee shops existed more on my side of town. Easily a new favorite coffee place. Small place but cozy. Came to get some work done on the computer. Has WiFi. Thank you all for a warm welcome ?

Luz is amazing. She has AMAZING customer service. I love coming to the coffee shop. She makes the environment feel like home. She’s very sweet & very attentive. Discovered this place last year, so happy they’re reopening again it’s the best actual local shop i’ve came across in South Gate. Drinks take a while to be made, but because the workers make sure its satisfactory. Rather wait longer here for a drink than a quick drink from a corporate location.

Today was the very first time I've dined in at this coffee shop. It left a strong impression, and I'll likely become a regular, loyal, and active customer here. Angelica was attentive towards me and gave me some recommendations on what to drink and eat. Firstly, I've tried the iced coffee, under her suggestion. It was the white chocolate latte. It was good and the caffeine was strong. That's alright! I enjoyed coffee. Secondly, I tried the expresso rocky road ice cream afterward. It is definitely a quirky little spot for a quick snack, drink, and even for a solo or casual date. Try it! Locals and visitors would love it! ❤️

Everything bagel was good. Cinnamon toast coffee was mid-- really sweet. Took over 30 minutes to get my order though. Would benefit from hiring more employees, there was only 1 girl behind the counter.
Service and ambiance is great. It's a little nook with a warm feel. We tried the hazelnut waffle & crepe, which were delicious except that next time I visit I'll order the hazelnut spread on the side.

Came here to get a decent cup of coffee and to support local coffee shops instead of starsucks but left feeling disappointed. First off the boy helping me had a low voice and could barely hear him. In the middle of him attending me he left to do something else. Ok that’s all fine if the coffee was good but it basically hot water with milk foam. No flavor. Hopefully the chisme is that it was just my choice of flavor and not the barista.

Skip the Starbucks and come to Coffee and Chisme! I personally love how sweet their cafecito is. I've always enjoyed their white chocolate mocha hot and I prefer it over Starbucks' because it tends to be more on the bitter side. The owners have always been very welcoming, and efficient. Out of the three times I've been here, I've never had an issue getting my food and drinks in a timely manner. The sausage and bacon muffin fills me up, comes out warm, and tastes like it was made from home. The bun is soft , as opposed to other breakfast sandwiches where the English muffin is hard, and the bacon and sausage taste on point. It's the perfect way to start your morning no matter what you're going to do today! I love the decor with the white neon sign entitled Coffee and Chisme. There's plenty of seats for you and your friend to chismeando or to get your study on! Come and support this Latinx small business .

The owner was there and was very helpful and nice. The staff were nice they make you feel you welcome. Try the coffee cake it really good. Try the ham panini love it and also can’t go wrong with Hibiscus ice tea I was so good. They have so many food options to choose. And it not expensive like other coffee shops. GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!!!
