For breakfast or brunch, this place is hands down the number one locale in Tahoe! Service was impeccable, the food was delicious (a Greek breakfast?! What?!), and there's enough parking for everyone. The Greek breakfast deserves a special place on Yelp. You get gyro meat topped with grilled onions and feta, tzatziki, two eggs your way, pita bread with butter, and breakfast potatoes! That's a wild combo for not much $$$. And you get a view of the lake if you sit outside. This isn't your ordinary brunch joint, y'all. Give this place a shot immediately!

Came here for lunch on a Friday while visiting South Lake Tahoe again. We were here 3 months ago and the food today is how we remember it to be - delicious! Serving size is enough for two. Service - servers are nice. It took almost 10 minutes from seating to someone coming over to take our orders. Ambiance - we sat inside. it was not packed and not loud. Definitely coming back when we visit South Lake Tahoe again.

We visited Lake Tahoe with friends. Found this restaurant on Yelp. The restaruant is loacated in a nice location with free parking. We like the decorateion of the place. Foods were delicious and our waiter was nice and polite!

Great food and great service. I had the gyro and my wife had the souvlake plate with lamb and she loved it. The fries with the gyro were very good too. We were stuffed and took home a baklava which was excellent.

Save your money go else where! Came for lunch based on the reviews and pictures online. Terrible customer service. So much attitude the lady took our order feels like we are going to eat here for free.. you will be scolded by server, and accused other service for misinforming us. Her wording" other service doesn't know anything better". You don't say that about your coworkers even if they made mistake, that's basically putting your restaurant down. Food quality is okay not that good. I'm sure there are better places to go and enjoy your meal than this stressful environment. Not coming back here again!

It was bad all around. Terrible service. Food had too much salt on it and was dry. Plates were held under the warming lamp way too long. Could only use cash. Appeared to be short staffed and the staff they had were under trained.

This place has two sister restaurants but the websites are separate. Very annoying!!

For over 40 minutes I tried calling the business phone number on Yelp, and at listed their website 6 times, to place an order, the phone was always busy, likely taken offline. Advised staff at the restaurant when I arrived, they could have cared less, didn't even check, just couldn't be bothered and they weren't busy. I even called when I was there and it still was busy with no one on the phone. The food was no better. Gyros were just OK at best, meat sliced way too thick and somewhat bland, minimal tzaziki sauce, thinly sliced tomatoes and the Greek salad chintzy with ingredients as well, would need a microscope to find the feta cheese, again thinly sliced tomatoes, very tiny cucumbers. Very stingy with all their ingredients, love gyros, live in town and we and our friends, sadly won't be back. FYI: Their online ordering doesn't work as well, it's down, no surprise.

Went for dinner the other day and the food was very good. Service was nice and there was a good ambiance. I would definitely go again

Above average Mediterranean food. Super friendly staff. The tabboulah on the mezze platter was the really good. I had the souvlaki plate with chicken that also had a skewer of fresh vegetables. Rice was good.

What the hell happened to the Artemis?? As a local who lives near the marina, Artemis was always one of our regular stops and I have referred them to countless people where I work. In the past few months I've noticed things going south. First I ordered wings which were tiny, dry as a bone and I just couldn't eat them I told the manager who said that the new cook "wasn't working out". She never offered a credit or to replace the food. Then ordered fries at a later date (used to be best in Tahoe) and they were cold and way over seasoned. They used to have great serving staff but in past few weeks, they seem to be short staffed and the ones there are rude. With all the businesses that have closed recently, you'd think a place like this would up their game so they aren't a statistic but they seem to think that because they are waterfront, they can offer crap food and service and no one will notice. Sorry Artemis, we locals pay attention and remember. And you lost a loyal customer.

The service was extremely rude. We had been there once and the food was ok. We decided to go back as it was conveniently located close to our hotel. The lady at the front told us there was no table available even though there were two tables together for 6 seats right at the front literally across from the hostess stand. We asked if they would separate the two tables so we can sit at the larger table for our group of 4. She rudely replied she was saving that "table for a group of 6" and that we had walked in right after many other customers who just came into the restaurant "all at the same time." Needless to say, we will never go back to this restaurant.
