Nice casual dining experience if you're in the Tahoe area and either coming from the slopes or shopping in the area. Portions are a good size. Service was fast, and friendly. It was a bit cold when we were there but they had live music playing outside which was real nice.

I've always adored AZUL. Whenever I'm in Tahoe, it's my go-to spot for great drinks, food, live music, and the wonderful people who work here.

The sweet potato tacos and Thai chicken tacos are delicious! The queso fundido is amazing as well. I didn't care for the fish tacos or the hot and mango salsas. They're better mixed together.

We love this place. The tacos are the best! The Thai one is my favorite, but they're all equally great. We were not a fan of the horchata alcohol drink.

I was very hungry after a 36 hour fast and was in the area. I was craving some fish tacos. Azul Latin Kitchen popped up on my search. I did a quick look around on the reviews, they mentioned their tortillas were a flour and corn masa blend so I was curious. I and headed to the restaurant. Ambience was pretty cool, a lot of tourists there having a good time. I loved the outside patio with the fire pits by the way. It's a nice cozy area to enjoy a warm beverage from their extensive drink menu. We ordered the queso fundido for the appetizer, 3 fish tacos, and a pulled pork burrito. Queso was piping hot and had a green tint to it, not very good. Fish on the tacos was dry and tortillas were gummy, 2 of the tacos were loaded with pickled red onions and finely shredded cabbage and 1 had a few strands, served with sour cream and 3 tiny yellowing limes with brown edges...sign of a sad lime that's been sitting in some container for a few days, no flavor there either; for almost 20 dollars and an additional 50 cents per taco... not worth it. Burrito tortilla was colorless, just a white roll with bland pork inside and white rice, no flavor at all. Service was awesome even though they were super busy. Staff kept checking on us and refilling our drinks. Maybe the kitchen staff had an off day...Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I'll read more reviews and see if there's anything else I must try. The drinks that were coming by did seem very good. Maybe this is the place for bomb drinks and maybe nachos, you can't really mess up nachos...and that's all.

It was OK. Food was too sweet... sweet aftertaste with every plate.. and one particular host there was really rushing us to get up from our table... totally meh ~ experience.

Hopeless... a Mexican place that does not do fresh chips and salsa . Doesn't know to make a decent enchilada ... don't understand how they are doing business ... probably location and drinks

Came here for dinner on Thursday night and it was packed but we were able to snag a table without waiting! We got some margaritas and the queso to start, and for the mains I got the enchiladas with the green suiza sauce and my friend got the tacos with a side of rice & black beans. Overall the food and drinks were good (slightly overpriced) but that's a given considering it's in the main area of South Lake Tahoe downtown.
