We live about an hour and a half from Tahoe, so we don't get a chance to eat here often. But when we DO come to Tahoe, Blue Dog is an ESSENTIAL stop while we're here. The food is amazing! It's become our family tradition to come here once or twice in a weekend visit!
The service was beyond expection for order at counter service. Our server greeted us, offered us menus, brought the food piping hot, blessed us as we left. We ordered Blue Hawaiian pizza and pepperoni pizza with $5 off special on two large pizzas, one gourmet. To my surprise, I liked the pepperoni pizza better than the Blie Hawaiian pizza. I enjoyed the sharpness and saltiness of the mozzarella. I found the BBQ sauce too sweet for the "spicy BBQ sauce" on the description, so I added hot sauce.Wheelchair accessibility: Blue Dog Pizza has handicapped parking and is wheelchair accessible.
Pricing has gone up majorly for a pizza that’s not even worth the size for the price. The pizza took a long time to be brought to table. The lady at the front didn’t seem very welcoming and the service wasn’t all that great. Blue dog pizza used to be a personal favorite for myself and many! It’s sad to see a business get run down the way it is. I know prices have skyrocketed everywhere, but considering the level of tourist and location, at least this location could have a little more decency with pricing. Sadly, PLEASE DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE BURNT CHURROS.

First time on a Sunday night, and I noticed how slow they were. 50 minutes wait as I am writing this review and still no pizza. I haven’t eaten yet so I can not rate the food. For a place where tipping is first thing you see, service should’ve been more efficient. A bunch of people left as I am watching the one employee barely do anything. To the lady behind the cash register: when we called you to tell you how long it took, your attitude was nastier than the food. That’s not how you approach customers. I would never eat in this place again.

We had a great dinner! Our bad English caused our “Meatball Pasta” order to be understood as “Meatball Pizza”.The staff ended up letting us enjoy the pizza while rushing a pasta order…. I have to say it was a beautiful mistake, that ricotta/garlic meatball pizza was incredible!Really fun and helpful staff! Thanks!

After snowboarding all day, this is a great place to take a break and decompress while enjoying a warm slice of pizza. It's away from the busy downtown center, so it's a lot quieter and there's way more parking spaces.

I wish my review was good about this place but it's not.The food tastes great but unfortunately the service was poor and we were disappointed. The person who took the order did so in a bad manner and had a heavy attitude. I paid for extra Ranch and that ranch arrived after we finished eating and a spinach salad with onion and tomato took over an hour to arrive at our table. The bad service really doesn't make up for the food, which is delicious. We ordered churros for dessert and they arrived before the pizza, which was supposed to be the main dish.In the end all the leftover ranch was left on the table.

Compared to Basecamp across the street: the pizza I had was 80% as good at about 80% of the price. I wouldn't hesitate to eat one. The garlic bread tasted like cardboard though.

We shared a chicken bacon, spinach pizza, half of it with tomato sauce and half of it with white sauce. She thought the white sauce was incredible and I thought the red sauce was incredible.

Service was so bad it takes 1 hour to get start even making my order !!! and manager was not responsible at all ? so sorry for this business. Some other people ordered and they were waited for long time too for the order! It is located in a very good place but…I don’t recommend at all after one tired day of ski you have to wait about 2 hours for a pizza?!
