Acceptable. Not good, not bad. Don't expect anything innovative on the menu. This isn't fine dining, just standard fare prepared to a decent level. The waiting staff lost the chef a star. They were passive aggressive and borderline hostile, as if waiting on customers is beneath them. We were greeted with an accusatory - 'why didn't you answer the phone?', having already confirmed our table earlier. We can recommend several other restaurants in the area which serve tastier food at a lower price point. e.g. Izabella.

The first thing the host said at the door was an accusatory, "we've tried to phone you twice today", however skiing in heavy snow in an area of poor reception does not make answering the phone easy. Service did not really improve from there, we were seated and then left until another table came in 10 minutes later so that the server could go through the specials with both tables at once, the other tables order was then taken before ours despite us having been in the restaurant for significantly longer. The food was alright but nothing special and the bread tasted like it was bought at a supermarket. Desert was disappointing considering the website waxes lyrical about their pastry chef, I think the closest item on the menu to pastry was a croissant bread pudding. The cheesecake tasted like standard store fare. The whole experience lacked the sophistication I would expect at this price point.Starter of roasted quail was the highlight and was actually very good, main course was bland with nothing to elevate it beyond average and desert was an uninspiring waste of calories.

I came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday and had a wonderful dinner. The restaurant is on the smaller side but the food was exquisite. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a gathering of close friends. It's nice to have conversation in a restaurant and be able to hear everyone. All the dished we ordered came out beautifully presented and tasted so good. Definitely my new favorite restaurant in tahoe!

We have been here twice and really enjoyed it both times. Excellent service and great food. We have tried the scallops, lamb, venison, veal, and halibut, and all were delicious.

The duck was great. We enjoyed everything we had here
Elegant understated, wonderful flavors and eye appeal. Everyone was attentive but allowed us time to really enjoy our experience. Don't let the understated facility fool you, this is a vey classy scene

This has to be the best restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. I had eaten here 8 or 10 years ago with my wife and it was great then and also great this time. I had a salmon special with stuffed lobster and it was wonderful. The service was suburb. Do not miss eating here. I have been to Tahoe many times and usually stay at one of the hotels and eat their food but Evan's was exceptional.

Evans is absolutely amazing. I had the Mignon and it was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. All the food including desserts were delectable. Been here twice and they pull through every time. All of it is worth the money

Small little cafe in South Tahoe. It's very quaint and cute. We went here for my partner's mother's birthday. The staff were helpful and patient. Food is on the pricey side but it was good. The liver pate that they put out with bread at the beginning is especially tasty. We enjoyed our meal overall and was very full towards the end. We would return for another occasion.
