The food is delicious, easily one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to. My only gripe is they used to have this Silver Noodle Soup, with this peanut broth base, that is one of the best things I've ever eaten. It was perfect for after a long day of skiing, or really at any other time because it was so fantastic. But sadly it is no longer on the menu. The rest of the food is still great, but I still dream of that soup.

The new owner down grades SEVERAL dishes!!! They swapt out for cheaper ingredients and really took away from the authenticticity! Suck was one of my main places to support in town now I will NEVER RETURN after being a faithful customer for over 12 years!!!! DONT DIX WHATS NOT BROKEN

Amazing place. I had the spicy basil beef and my gf had the pad kee mow. Both delicious. For drinks a Thai tea and Thai ice coffee. The real stand out though is they have the best CRAB RANGOON. I'm super picky about CR. I hate those wimpy ones in a star shape with very little filling. The ones here were bursting with cream cheese crab filling. So delicious. Servers are kind. Really love this place.

Second time coming back and the quality is still great.Great vegan options, we ordered vegan dishes- papaya salad without fish sauce, fresh rolls, and pumpkin curry with tofu.Everything tasted fresh and delicious, the papaya salad was a great portion size with mixed greens/salad/papaya/tomato/peanuts/green beans, and a delicious sauce.The fresh rolls were amazing with the avocado and mint added, with other fresh greens/cabbage, and more with the dipping sauce. The pumpkin curry had a good spice, about a medium spice level with great vegetables/pumpkin and basil.Overall, everything was great-food and service with a smile -the authentic Thai experience. I’ll be back again.Sawadee Krap????Vegetarian options: Most of everything can be vegan/vegetarian, just have to make sure about the fish sauce, not being included on certain dishes.

Abysmal service. Could've give half star if the option was available. We placed a to go order and over the phone, the restaurant said 1 hour. I called them back at the top of the hour, they said another 30 min. Reached the restaurant and made me wait for another 20 minutes. It seemed like they were catering only to the in house customers and most phone orders were pushed aside. Food was ok.

Great spot for Authentic Thai food! Once we entered we were greeted by friendly workers! They had beautiful decor which I was very mesmerized. I had a stroller which I felt bad rolling around hitting everyone's chair but everyone was understanding. We ended up sitting in the back room. We ordered our drinks and food and got it in a timely manner. The food we ordered was very hefty! We will surely keep this pace on our list of "to go's" when visiting Tahoe.

You can not find better Thai food ! The staff is friendly and the service is great. The restaurant is clean and has a peaceful atmosphere. We had lunch and the lunch menu is reasonably price , actually a bargain seeing how much we enjoyed the food ! My husband had the Pad Cashew Nut with chicken, it was full of fresh vegetables and cashews . I ordered the Green Curry with shrimp, It was delicious ! The best I've ever tasted. We are looking forward to having dinner here soon !

Orchid's Authentic Thai Cuisine is a Thai restaurant serving delicious and fresh Thai dishes! I've tried the Chicken Satay, Pad Ke Mao, Tom Yum Soup Large with Pork, Chicken Wings and Spicy Stir Fry Crispy Pork Belly. The Chicken Satay was tender, sweet, and when dipped into the peanut sauce twisting it into a buttery, nutty, chicken satay, it is the best chicken satay I've eaten in the US, not overly cooked or dry. The Tom Yum soup has a lot of ingredients, including tomatoes, onions, lemongrass, mushroom, and the meat of your choice (I had pork) and the taste embodied the perfect spiciness for almost anyone to enjoy while being a harmony of sweet, sour, and savory. The Pad Ke Mao had many ingredients but tasted alright (savory and slightly sweet), Stir fry Basil Crispy Pork Belly had an interesting taste (reminded me of tofu, good to me but definitely an acquired taste) was really crispy, not too fatty and the crispy chicken wings had a perfect crunch while being flavorful and juicy. Unfortunately, I could not try their desserts as they were all sold out. Overall, Orchid's Authentic Thai Cuisine was my favorite Thai restaurant at Lake Tahoe and I will revisit it to try new dishes and those seemingly popular desserts!
