**This review is based on the outdoor seating area and ordering an appetizer and adult beverage only** California burger is located in a pretty cool spot in heavenly village. There is a large amount of outdoor seating with a small stage for musicians to play music for patrons. We scored an outside table after about a 15 minute wait on a Saturday. This is a nice area to people watch, listen to music and enjoy the Tahoe scenery. Our server was quick to greet us and take our orders. I ordered the Shamrockin'. This is an adult milkshake made with Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Crème De Menthe, Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Chips. This milk shake was awesome and I highly recommend it! I also ordered the buffalo cauliflower. The combination of breading on the cauliflower was delicious and the buffalo gave it a little heat, which was a great combo. A must visit spot for lunch or dinner!

Great place to come with your pup! We had just finished up our day at heavenly ski resort and were super hungry. We had our dog with us too so we wanted to make sure we came to a place that was dog friendly. Dogs are allowed both indoor and outdoor but we decided to sit outdoors. They had fire pits perfect for a cold winter day right by the tables and kindly gave a water bowl for our dog. We had burgers, fries, onion rings, and a warm alcoholic beverage. The burgers were absolutely delicious especially for the price point. We were seated really quick, service was great, they even had a live performer. Will definitely be coming back again!

7/23/23 Zach and I came to California Burger for our lunch in Tahoe before making the long drive home. We got there a little after they opened so we got seated right away. We sat outside since the weather was great. Here's what we got: - Inferno burger with french fries (his) - Bob's Burger with a side of roasted corn (mine) - 6 piece wings (for him) Since it wasn't that busy yet, everything came out in about 10 minutes. The seasoning on the corn and fries were delicious. The corn was sweet and the fries themselves were not greasy and had the perfect level of crunchy-ness. Zach and I both agreed that the price for the amount and size of the wings were not worth it. The burgers were pretty good, but I wish I had asked for my onions to be grilled instead of raw onions. If we come back here, we'll probably skip the wings next time.

Nothing special. Gossipy hostesses. "Bro" manager. Got the California Burger and a Bloody Mary. The meat was good quality but the veggies didn't taste fresh (had good color though?). Fries were eh. Service was subpar. Atmosphere was very loud and it's cold by the windows.

The honorary Texan is a tasty burger...not spicy at all. The lemon pepper wings are crispy and the rub they use is delicious. The hot dog...is a hot dog. Can't go wrong if you ask for no onions and their relish is yummy.

The burgers were EXCELLENT! 10+++ On 2/23/2024, we had the best male server. He was OUTSTANDING. Very attentive. We sat inside not far from the music duo. I can't remember our server's name. It was very cold that night. He was kind enough to bring me a blanket. We made sure to tip him heavy for his great service!! I'm very sorry to say this but the music could have been a lot better. The duo was not good. I hate to be so harsh but I'm affiliated with the music industry.
Great spot to grab a yummy burger in Heavenly Village. The Blues Burger with sweet potato tots were delicious. Perfect cook for the burger patty. I also liked the aioli. I also got an extra spicy Bloody Mary. The extra spice was from a Carolina Reaper sauce. If you have a good spice tolerance, this is the perfect drink for you.

I ordered the Inferno Burger. It was very tasty! I don't expect much with burgers because the party is either juicy and good or dry and over cooked. My burger here was really good and had a spicy kick to it! The patty was cooked perfectly and juicy and the fries were good as well! No issues here.

Reduced my 5 to a 3; whoever got rid of the Tuna Melt should be terminated immediately. Thankfully they still host good music and held onto the sweet potato tots.

This spot was AMAZING! We got the Hawaiian burger and blue cheese burger with sides of onion rings and beer battered fries, and opted to get the fries tossed in their garlic parmesan rosemary seasoning. Everything was absolutely spectacular. My boyfriend said his Hawaiian burger was one of the best burger he's ever had, and I was obsessed with the beer battered fries. The service was amazing and friendly and the atmosphere was fun and unique. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning anytime we're in the area.
