Aesthetically pleasing! We had to return this second time - the service and food was constant with the first visit. For starters we had the tator tots w/elote - such a great combo!! We enjoyed the salbutes with the perfectly seasoned carne asada as well as the tacos. They're drinks can't miss!!

Love this spot!! I have visit this restaurant 3 times in less than 2 months. The best Yucatan restaurant! The food is so delicious. I really love their cochinita pibil. The service is great! The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is great for a date or group. I went in a group of 10 people, and we all enjoyed it. And the prices are reasonable.

Located downtown area of South San Francisco. This place offers the Yukon town flavor of Mexico. You're welcome! And the music is vibrant and cheerful as we go through the menu. You have so much to offer. And unsure what to select but from what my experience has given me, you will not be sorry with any of the selections. The service is excellent and the food is delight. All the flavors are exquisite and memorable. All the food is cooked, fresh and daily. You are going to experience a wonderful time while you enjoy all this. Delicacies and meals. They have morning menus and then they have afternoon evening menus so you can then your stay if you wish. I cannot say enough of this place. This is a spot that I will return to continue eating all these great meals and I hope you come back too. Enjoy and bon appetit!

Good selection of food and beverages. Really appreciated the options for vegetarian rice and beans among other things. Salsa is fabulous. The staff was really lovely and they seated us even when we were 45 minutes till closing. Casual ambiance.

This place is just great! From the quick attention you get right when you walk in to the drinks it is great all around. The service is efficient & friendly. My server was on it & helped me pick what to eat since I couldn’t decide. Everything looks good. I went with the plate that let’s you pick three options. Everything was tasty but the pork tamal was soooo good. Star of the show. They have a spicy habanero salsa that actually has flavor & is still pretty spicy. Margaritas are strong & flavorful too! For sure will be back. Location is in a great place. I always shop at La Tapatía which is only a block down but now I have to go here right after my shopping every time!!!

This place has been bookmarked for awhile and we wanted to try a new place, so we checked out Cochinita. Ambiance is really cool. I like their decor and interiors. Reminded us of Los Cabos or a beachy tropical resort. It really takes you away from Grand Avenue! While others may rate an establishment for the ambiance, I go for the service and food! Nothing special with the service. The waitress was pleasant and accommodating. Though we didn't ask for anything special. We just ordered our food and that was it. Looking over the menu, we ordered salbutes and a parillada platillos. SALBUTES ~ 2 Yucatán fried tortillas with your choice of meat. I chose poc chuc (grilled pork) and pollo pibil (chicken). When I got the plate, it was bare?! I think it would have been better if they added chips or put them on a smaller plate! Empty space on a plate does not look good! I don't think it was worth $14. I could have gone up the block and get a $10 burrito that would fill me up! This was like an appetizer. While it tasted good, it wasn't worth the price. 3/5 PARILLADA PLATILLO ~ my bf chose to have the grilled steak. He was cutting into the steak and noticed the sides were very fatty. About 1/4 of the steak wasn't meat. It was already a small steak and now realizing some of it is inedible. That was disappointing. It was cooked medium done which was fine. At least the tortillas were house-made and decent. Rice and beans were ok. Potato salad seemed out of place with the Latin theme? I've never had potato salad with tortillas before. That's usually a bbq/picnic side. 3/5 While the restaurant's ambiance was super cool, food was underwhelming. Maybe having a cocktail and an appetizer would have been the better way to go. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back.

My first time here with my daughter was the vibe. Where do I start..... the music and lighting of the restaurant felt outdoors but we were inside which made it fun. The staff were really friendly and took their time to explain all of the items on the menue. The food was delicious and we had to finish the night with some churros. My daughter is going to sleep good tonight. I will definitely be coming back

Love that they bring in regional dishes you don't often find like salbutes and have fun dishes like elote tots. Everything tasted great, fast service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back to try their other items and happy hour!

Super friendly staff, really yummy food! I was craving panuchos and did some research and found this place. It was my husband's first time having Yucateco food and he loved it! Drinks were yummy too! I want to give an extra star for having habanero salsa!

I was excited to try this place after seeing all the great reviews, but I was left heavily disappointed. When entering the building there's a sign that ask you to wait to be seated... the waiter looked right at us and kept on walking, we had to ask to be seated after waiting 5 minutes (with no other parties waiting and wide open tables). That should've been our first sign to leave, I would have understood too if the place was crazy packed but it wasn't. Now for the food, 2 of the 4 dishes ordered came out to us cold not only was it cold it tasted as if the meat was from the previous day and it was so salty. When we were done with our meals we had asked for a to go box... it took our waiter almost 30 minutes to bring it to us with the check. At that point we were over it, paid and left. Maybe we came at the wrong time but I was not so impressed with this place. At least I could say I tried it I guess.

Best Mexican food in SSF ! My fiancé and I went for brunch and we love walking to Grand Avenue for breakfast on the weekends, we had our usual spot but I think we've found our new favorite; service was great and fast, my fiancé got the cochinita plate(is not on the menu) and the pork was cooked to perfection, while I got the huevos con tomate and I was delicious. I wish they had more selections for coffee but totally understand since it's not too much of a breakfast restaurant. We did not order drinks but they have a lot variety of drinks on the menu and they looked good (on other tables) so we are seriously considering on going back for happy hour or another day to actually try them. Love the ambience, I'm a latina who loves music and all the music they played was great!

Awesome food and great service beautiful environment as well. I would recommend the pork cochinita plate (not on the menu you have to ask for it) order a side of queso Fresco and some corn tortillas and let it rip! Best breakfast I've ever had!
