Yes, yes and yes!!!!!! Francois is the guy to help you with a last minute banquet. We had an after funeral memorial luncheon and without knowing how many people were attending he came through. The service was fantastic and the good was HOT when served. Fantastic!!!! Thank you Francois. You made this day less stressful and beautiful. Thank you thank you!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND BASQUE CULTURAL CENTER.

This place is great for company gatherings. This is my 2nd time coming here for a holiday party and i absolutely enjoy it. My favorite is the pea soup and lamb! Must try!

Mother-in-law's 95th birthday lunch. We happen to love their soups and salad. Lunch is different than dinner so it was special order to have both soup and salad. Our party of four was pleased and un-rushed despite being the last diners to leave. I personally love the salad dressing and for dessert the frozen nougat dessert with raspberry purée. Staff was attentive!

We have been going since 1993 and its changed little. We like it because its unpretentious food served in what you would call French country style if you don't know Basque cuisine. 5 course meals for dinner and the specials are usually the ones we choose. The service is great, we know most of the wait staff. We were sorry to see Anna go if you knew her. A cultural icon. Full bar. The have reasonable service even with huge banquets going on although it take a bit longer. Prices have been climbing steadily so we don't go as often as we did a few years ago, expect to pay about $40-$60 per person for dinner, $25 to $30 for lunch, but in my opinion worth it. The pate is unrivalled, and soups are pretty good (and I'[m not a big soup fan). Best thing you can do short of going to Europe right now (and we have lived in Europe).

Been going to the center for many years, the parking, service and food are excellent. A warm, family friendly , welcoming restaurant.

Ever since they re-open 29th September, my husband and I have been eating there at least once a week. We love their food. Price is reasonable and portion is generous. Service is good. Highly recommended

We got married here in January and I'm very happy I chose this as our venue. The service was absolutely amazing as always! I definitely recommend them for your venue needs. They have a room that holds a substantial amount of people.

If the Golden Girls threw a party. It would be here at the Basque Cultural Center. The customers that frequent this place look like they probably went to high school with Betty White. I came for a wedding and didn't really want to sit around at the reception, so I spent most of the evening helping folks into their cars with their walkers and canes which was actually made my evening enjoyable. That being said, how was the food? Not good. The salad was just two types of lettuce. Soup was terrible. I ordered the filet mignon, it wasn't bad. Passable. But the menu in general was forgettable. The service? Considering the amount of people at the reception, I thought the service was fast and efficient. The servers as well as the bartenders were friendly. The venue? The venue itself is dated. I imagine for an affordable place to have a reception or party, the Basque Cultural Center would be a decent location with a large parking lot. But the food, would make me choose a different venue.

Service was excellent! food was only OK, for the quality of the food, price was high. Won't go back.

What a Disappointment, came here for a group party and found the service to be lackluster as well as a food. Start off with this weird bean soup that tasted like something out of a prison, then came a salad with a light vinegar at dressing which was the best thing out of the entire meal come up the 3rd dish which is the main entree was a plain pasta in tomato sauce that was under cooked and the pasta sauce was cold. I would not recommend coming here for a small party or venue. The dessert was just a scoop of Vanilla Ice cream With some waffle cone. I think they charged about $40 per guest, definitely not worth the price. But it wasn't my party, and I felt sorry for the hose to is also disappointed in the quality of food, the servers took forever to clear the plates and we had to help them because there were only 2 servers for the 10 tables which had 8 guest each.

I've been here a few times for dinner with my parents. The most recently, Sunday night. Plenty of parking (there's a parking lot). The atmosphere is a bit on theold fashion side. you will notice lot of senior citizens coming to eat here. Nevertheless the service here was really great and all servers were very nice. They have dinner specials every night that comes with a dinner set ranges from $24-30. It comes with complimentary bread, soup, salad, entree of the day, and dessert). Amazing deal for a course set meal. Every table comes with complimentary loaf of bread. Sunday is their lamb cheek and prime rib dinner set $30. The soup varies daily I believe. Their salad is a simple tossed salad with Italian dressing I believe. The lamb cheek was so tender and delicious braised in this amazing sauce. The prime rib was a bit chewy but still great especially for the price. Would definitely recommend coming here for dinner with family.

I came here for a Thanksgiving luncheon with my club. We got the huge loaf of French bread which I took home. We got thinly sliced white meat turkey with gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, Broccoli and stuffing. The turkey, gravy, and Broccoli was excellent. I didn't eat the stuffing. It was a good lunch but what was even better was the service. We had a nice young waiter named Darryl. He was very professional, accommodating and very pleasant. He made our meal there an excellent one. I wish all waiters were like him. He would check on us every 5 minutes. A nice young man. I'd go to any restaurant he was a waiter - that's how good he was.

We had a Halloween dinner here at 5pm. I love this place because it was not crowded and had ample parking in their lot. The food was good, moderately priced, and the service was excellent. They have daily specials, for Thursday, it was a choice between veal stew or chicken cordon blu. I choose the chicken which is served with soup, appetizer, the entree, salad, and ice cream. Serving french bread throughout the meal, My host brought her own bottle of wine and they do not have a corkage fee to open. The waitress and servers are efficient and professional. The price of the special is about $23.00 but you get a lot for your money. Everyone enjoyed their dinners here. Recommend!

We were staying at a hotel near SFO. We were looking for a good place near, and found the Basque Cultural Center Restaurant in So San Francisco. The restaurant was in a building that had banquet facilities and some sort of sports field. I think it is a club, but the restaurant is open to the public. We had a wonderful lunch, a great bottle of wine and shared a typical Basque dessert. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
