Stopped by right before closing and we're so glad we did. Some of the best Pan Dulce I've had outside of Mexico. Bolillo stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeño is incredible!

I ordered a tres leches cake with strawberries on it and it was sooooo yummy! The cake was beautifully designed. And I loved how the bakery is family owned, mom and pop vibes. Definitely coming back here!!

This place is a hidden gem in south San Francisco. It has some of the best conchas I've tasted. I go here frequently, and each time the bread/pastries are all fresh! The selection of items is mind boggling, where it's hard to decide on what to get! Some of my notable favorites include conchas, cornbread, polvarone. Just recently I tried their tres leches cake. It was AMAZING. The cake was light and the icing wasn't too sweet. It seriously is a must try if you see that they have it. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries in town!

Dios mio! My new favorite bakery. I didn't even know what I was choosing from the cupboards inside but all of it was fluffy and fresh with the best thing being their tres leches cake. OMG what a dream!!! You know it's great when at 5pm on Saturday, there's a line out the bakery door... 5 stars!!!

The filling for the "elotes" taste better. The brown "conchas" are the bomb and the danish and filled croissants. During peak times and during pandemic, only 2 customers are permitted to go inside and there can be a line of people waiting outside. But it's worth the wait. When you finally get inside they require you to put plastic gloves (which they provide) in order to handle the bread, which is a good thing especially, during Covid. FYI Bread prices have gone up. Las Hijas del Gallo make the best Mexican pan dulce in the Bay Area. Just make sure you ask for a plastic bag to put the paper bag in so the bread stays soft if you don't plan on eating the bread the same day.

I have a huge sweet tooth and wish I knew about this bakery sooner! I love, love flan, conchas, tres leches, etc. They're a bakery offering a huge variety of pastries and all sorts of sweets. The staff also practice safety protocols. I came home to devour everything. I couldn't finish everything so I saved the tres leches for the next day and surprisingly, it still tasted fresh and delicious. I can probably say it's one of the best tres leches I've ever had! The other pastries were absolutely delicious, too. I highly recommend checking them out and indulging with their goodies.

The BEST conchas in the Bay Area. I have yet to find anything better, so fresh and warm every time I go!

Best tress leches cake I've ever had! Do call to remind them if you place an order doe because they can forget but who wouldn't during a pandemic.

There are lots of reason to visit Las Hijas Del Gallo ,, be it for their Conchas , Breads or various fresh and wonderous baked goods. They are very busy so everything is always Fresh ! But they are also know for their Rosca De Reyes breads / cakes . They are hands down one of the best places near San Francisco if you want to get that special item to celebrate Epiphany , or maybe just because its a great baked good ! The Rosca De Reyes come in 3 sizes with the Largest being rather huge , and they can also be purchased with a variety of fillings. As for the shop, they take one customer at a time but the line does move some what fast , I only waited 15 minutes. There is a ton of parking in the area which is a nice change from San Francisco. Plus the staff is very patient , friendly , and fluent in English making the experience very easy for those of us with a very limed Spanish vocabulary.

This bakery is a literal hole in the wall. It's so small and it's a really old building...so that makes it LEGIT. I had the conchas from my cousin's birthday party earlier this year and I just had to go get my own. They are amazing. Super soft and sweet. They never go stale. We had them sitting for 3 days (I bought A LOT) and they still taste GREAT. Some conchas sit really hard in my stomach and these definitely don't. The Mexican wedding cookies are so good too. They sell them with and without the powdered sugar which is great! I like them with the powdered sugar though. I had some of their polvorones and I'm not a huge fan. They taste different from what I'm used to.

Very good traditional Mexican bakery, everything is fresh and good quality, good customer service, good prices. Early mornings mean a line out the door but it moves quickly and it's worth the wait. I bought several pastries, large cookies with rainbow sprinkles, bread, And d my favorite is the 3-leches. I haven't tried their coffee but their baking goods are excellent. For sure I will be coming back.

Their pan dulce is delicious but I dont like that there are no prices so depending on staff ,sometimes they overcharge on purpose. its a shame that they pick and choose who to overcharge because if they were honest I would give them my business 100% . I have been there at least 10x but its hard to walk out and feel ripped off by certain employees bc I always buy the same pieces.

I can't believe this bakery is rated so highly when in reality their bread is extremely dry and tasteless!
