BLOWS PHILS OUT OF THE WATER!Posted sometime about 2 years ago maby I think. ow my head.Awesome BBQ. Blows Phil's out of the water. We ordered 4 big meals and it was ready for pickup in less than 15 min.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians have every option that any other political party. They have a right to assemble, run for office. Shux I think there even allowed to eat yogurt, fish, cheese and each others farts. Let's face it, if man kind had evolved on veggies alone, we'd all be flapping around in the sand on a beach somewhere, burying our 2000 eggs she blasted in our mouths and made us risk our lives on this funkin beach. Dang it. I just got eaten by a carnivore.Dietary restrictions: That sucks I'm sorry to hear that.Parking: If your the type that stops your car before disembarking. Cali BBQ has a state of the art, multi million dollar rectangle of cement that can support your vehicle and prevent it from ripping down through to the center of the earth.Kid-friendliness: BBQ = Kid behavior on the positive side. Occasional loud mouth, some snoar-ers, 2 cry babies. 0 unfreindlieness.Wheelchair accessibility: You cant miss it.
The food is good.The service is excellent. Jazlyn (I apologize if I misspelled her name) is truly amazing. She really hustles every time we go there. Her customer service is beyond a 10. Makes us feel welcomed. Thank you so much!

I literally have never had an issue with anything at this restaurant until now. I ordered take out and and it looks like just scraps of pulled pork was thrown on my plate. I wish I could post a picture because it looks like I was given a half eaten plate

The tri-tip sandwich was good but not as lean or as large as I would hope. The onion rings were good but most were not the crispy bite I prefer. John at the bar was friendly, putting up with my banal conversation. I sat at the bar because apparently it's the only place a human can take your order. You must log in with your smartphone at any table. Payment was also thru the smartphone, which I had never done before. Is this all an attempt to keep staffing levels as low as possible?

I ordered Cali BBQ for the first time tonight and the 5 star reviews aren't lying. I ordered a combo plate with ribs and brisket that were both amazing. The coleslaw and potato salad were both super fresh and delicious, and I'm pretty picky about those side dishes because they're often lackluster from other restaurants. My husband had the brisket sandwich and he was in heaven, saying it was one of the best sandwiches he's ever eaten. I ordered peach cobbler to round out the meal but haven't eaten it yet (I'm so full and still have a whole meal's worth of food for tomorrow!) but it looks and smells legit. So happy I finally tried this restaurant after 2 years of living in the neighborhood!
I am from the South and I absolutely do not understand the rave reviews this place has been getting. I tried their ribs, pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, and jalapeño cheddar cornbread. Cornbread was decent if a bit dry. Baked beans were soupy and bland, did not taste like the kind of baked beans that usually are served with BBQ. Potato salad was good. Pulled pork was okay. Ribs — only had a bite and wanted to throw up. The BBQ sauce is… too sweet and doesn’t taste good at all. My husband got their smash burger and tots, and the tots were decent and he said the smash burger was okay. But for a BBQ place I expected good BBQ and this place just isn’t it.
The food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is delightful. The service is exceptional, and they offer some of the highest quality meats in the area. The brisket simply melts in your mouth, like meat butter.

The food was fantastic, especially the sides. While the Onion Rings fell a bit short of expectations, the Potato Salad, Coleslaw, and Mac and Cheese were all hits. The Pulled Pork stood out as our favorite. What truly makes this place shine is the exceptional customer service – prompt, attentive, and truly awesome.

I was looking forward to eating some really good BBQ. I heard about this place from Kusi. My friend and I ordered the Beef Brisket plate that comes with 2 sides. I asked if all the sides on the side section were included and the waiter said yes. I ordered the cesar salad and the wedding beans. My friend ordered the onion rings and the macaroni & cheese. My brisket was mostly end pieces and a lot of fat and my friends brisket was perfect.I asked the waiter if my meat was supposed to look like my friends meat and he said yes it shouldn't look like the blob I had.I aksed if I could get some different pieces and the waiter said he would ask the chefs. The chefs told him they cloesed the kitchen down. When we got the bill, we noticed the plates cost more then what they said on the menu. We asked the waiter what the extra charges were and he pulled up the receipt on his machine and noticed that I was charged extra for my salad and my friend was charged extra for both his sides. The waiter did not know why but did nothing to compensate us. Very dissappointing.
