Very little enthusiasm in the employees. Food was poor at best. I would definitely never return .

Every time I go, the atmosphere is very unwelcoming from the employees (specifically a woman at the front). Responses when ordering are quite rude. Haven’t tried the food, but I wish it were more of an enjoyable place for students to go. The wine is reasonably priced though!

Talk about a bad experience from walking into an empty restaurant, to the unwelcoming stares from the 2 staff members as if to say what do you want without saying it. I said hello how are you and they didn’t even respond so I proceeded to tell them my order and when it was ready I pick it up and tell them thank you have a good day and the guy mumbles something under his breath and the lady preparing the food laughs. I mean if your unhappy with your job get a different job don’t drive the owners business into the ground with your poor attitude. The food wasn’t even good it was old and dry. With so many good restaurants on campus I was surprised at how disappointing this place was. Go somewhere else. Read the reviews this place has potential but not with the current staff.

My lab mates and I came here for lunch as part of our exploration to try all the various restaurants on campus. This restaurant has quite the selection of BBQ (including some vegetarian options!) and even several beer options both on tap and bottled. Quite funny there's alcoholic options at a restaurant on Stanford's campus considering that Stanford's football stadium doesn't sell any alcohol at all!I opted for some classic options, so I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. For the price, the sandwich was incredibly large and filling. It was packed with a generous amount of both pulled pork and cole slaw. The pulled pork was decent, but the bbq sauce present added immensely to the flavor. They also provided quite a lot of fries as well, and it made for a very filling lunch experience - one of better food options on campus! Cost:-Pulled pork sandwich = $10-Side of fries = $5

Tried this place again. Pulled pork was really good. Glad to see a barbecue restaurant on the campus.

I really try to reserve my time for positive reviews, but this place really irritated... hoping maybe it sparks them to try to do better. I walk in for lunch 11:20 (they open at 11). The place looks nice, music on, couple of employees behind the counter. I say hey, & begin to scan the menu. I LOVE BBQ, so I ask the guy behind the counter what he recommends for a 2 meat combo, he says Brisket, & ribs or links. I go Brisket & ribs off of his word. I am the only customer in the place. After about 2 min my name is called, i go up excited to try some good BBQ, I am immediately disappointed. Brisket with no bark, no color at all (just Grey) and looking like it was fresh out of the microwave. Ribs - completely dry and no meat at all. More sauce (on the side, by my request) than meat! I was so disappointed I couldn't even talk to them about it. I couldn't shake it the next day so here I am. Do better, please, you've got a beautiful space, try to be a little more friendly behind the counter. Maybe talk to your patrons/guest. You've got to Get your prep & presentation better. There is no reason you guys should be serving food like I was served yesterday with little to no service.

Debating whether to give one or two stars. If you're on stanford campus and need a bbq fix, maybe go there. Clean. Edible food but expensive given no side dishes, food isn't great, service was surly. Won't be back.

The service was excellent! Definitely would go back and definitely worth the money.

Pretty average barbecue. Pulled pork sandwich was good and decently priced. Stay away from their hamburgers though; they are overpriced and very plain.

A new BBQ stand spotted at the Ferry Building Farmers Market on Thursday. Pretty limited menu and they were somehow out of tri-tip by like 12:15pm, but what I did get was nice. A 3-meat combo is enough for lunch and some leftovers in the afternoon! Pork Ribs: At first I was worried they only gave me one rib, but there was actually another rib under the chicken. I think this turned out to my favorite of the meats. Really enjoyed the texture contrasts how some pieces towards the edge were firm and jerky-like while other pieces in the middle were sort of fall apart. Really great with the BBQ sauce. Sausage Links: I was kinda surprised I liked these so much, since it's just sausage. But by smoking it the sausage gets a snappy hot dog like texture while trapping a lot of the smoky flavor in the fat. Chicken: A chicken leg quarter that kinda reminded me of those smoked turkey legs at fairs. Same smoky stringy dark meat and floppy skin, but on a small scale. Probably my lowest ranked of the meats, which makes me even more sad that they ran out of the tri-tip. Coleslaw: The only non-meat food they had, which I kinda admire because I am all about the meat. The veggies were fresh and crisp with a minimal sauce. I'm not a big coleslaw fan in general, but it did a good job cleansing the palate between meat bites.
