“I've been looking forward to this visit for some time as we were scheduled to go previously, but that outing had been canceled. I mostly was going for the hangar steak offering they had on their menu, but by the time we went yesterday it had been replaced by the American Wagyu. This steak frites-esque dish still turned out to be pretty good. I'm more of a fan of the bearnaise type sauce that come with the dish, but this chimmichuri was pretty good as well. The steak was cooked to perfection, that nuanced space of medium where the steak is vermilion red and hella juicy but not cool that rare might give you. Every bite was a joy and a delight. Yes, I wish the portion was somewhat bigger, but when it comes to steak I know that portion sizes across the board are going to be smaller at dining places now. Either that or you're asking to pay out in excess of $40. I think for the size $30 was reasonable. The service was excellent--our server was helpful, prompt, and very accommodating to all our substitution and other requests. The ambience is great with a nice outdoor space with lots of room and live music. All in all, this is a great joint with great food and should make for great times in the future.“

“This is my favorite bar. The staff is incredible and accommodating; Eddie, Kosin, Kara, Cris, Kayla, Angie, Nelson, Mat, Adrian, and Emily are all sweethearts with a bundle of love. “Had the Drunken Fries with Rattlesnake and Rabbit Sausage and it was absolutely delicious ? definitely recommend coming here for a beer and food in DTSA. Or if you are walking from another bar and need something to soak up your drinks, this is a place to do it with good eats. Service was a touch slow, but it could've been due to low staff or it being busy for trivia night. And they do cook the food fresh upon order (they had a sign at the register) so it is piping hot (which my food was ??). I cannot argue with any of that“

“Scored some tickets on Stub Hub and got to watch the Angels play from our seats at Brewery X. We got there a little early and checked out the bar and hung out at one of the indoor bar tops. It was nice to have this option and stay in the cool AC before the game started. The sun was bright and hot at our seats. We enjoyed some seltzers and beers and once we got to our seats we had the most delicious carnitas nachos we have ever had at the ballpark. It was a fun experience to hang out at Brewery X, have great seats and in seat dining with delicious food. Only wish I could order my favorite Zebra popcorn to my seat. It was simple enough to take a walk from our seats and visit a concession stand on club level.“

A definite go-to spot for a relaxed and enjoyable time.Parking: I was able to park in one of two large parking lots both times, but I did have to circle a couple times to find a spot. “We tried this place a few times and we're disappointed one of the times. So not sure if the food quality is inconsistent. But we just went recently and it was quite good this time around. We ordered a couple rounds of drinks. Great craft cocktail list (although small). I ordered the Reconstructed Destination twice! For food: We ordered the Truffle Burger (the Truffle really showed through and the meat was very juicy and flavorful). Salon Tartare was amazing, loved the brightness and the unami component with the tobiko (black roe) on top. The creme fraiche was a great acidic addition. And lastly, we ordered the Salmon Almandine. Let me tell you that I normally don't order salmon because it's usually overcooked. This was perfectly cooked, medium rare and juicy inside. The skin was crispy. The almonds were fried crispy and had a good season to it. Very satisfied. The waitress was also very friendly and available--she made sure to check up on us every so often. We also noticed the bar is a good vibe/social bar. The several times we were there, the bar was filled with people wanting to have a good drink and good time. The bartenders were also very thrilled to make drinks off the menu if you asked. There's also a semi-private room great for hosting parties/events. Sometimes this place is super busy and others you can just walk in. I still recommend making a reservation just in case! Vibe: Dark industrial modern.“
