“Be aware that the portion is huge. It is enough for lunch and dinner for me, at least. The Loco Moco is very tasty. I lived in Hawaii for many years, and I can say this restaurant cooks authentic Hawaiian food. Highly recommended if looking for Hawaiian food. Prices are very reasonable.“

“Got the opportunity to stop in again and cure the craving for the garlic chicken that haunted my soul. The best part of anytime Hawaiian bbq is the convenience to walk from any of the convention center or Disney hotels and the prices are so reasonable for the flavor and amount of food you get to enjoy! After a long day of walking a garlic chicken plate and a spam musubi will fill the belly and make a happy soul! No joke the garlic chicken is crave worthy!!“

“This place saved my sanity when the kids didn't like what we actually had for lunch. The kids quieted down and scarfed down the chicken katsu. The meat was white, thick, and tender. The batter was lightly covered with crispy panko. There was plenty of rice for the two little kids to share. The mac salad was not as creamy as I am used to because it had canned tuna in it, but it was nice to have something a little different from other places. The seating area was spacious, and there was a self-service soda fountain with fresh tasting water. This restaurant was the perfect find for my tired kids.“

“This was probably my favorite bite during a recent stay in the area over the weekend. I'm pretty picky about poke especially since the concept gets so watered down when people make it on the mainland. This is legit poke and probably the best you can get in all of socal. Seriously with one bite I was hooked and would go back for more anytime. Concept is pretty standard. Pick a sauce, pick your choice of proteins, pick your base and toppings. They have two sizes small and large and currently cost $2 difference. I think the small was a perfect size for a meal l. They carry a variety of drinks options. I'm a sucker for Hawaiian sun so purchased a can of their POG flavor. The most satisfying meal of the trip. Bottom line is they did their poke right. Service is top notch and they make bowls pretty quickly. If you pass by this place take a step in and try it out for yourself.“
“The most authentic Hawaii experience you can find outside of Hawaii! Not only was the storefront decorated with Hawaii themed memorabilia that made me feel at home but the service and food was A+We ordered two spam musubi ( a Hawaii classic) the Teri Mix Plate and Seafood Mix Plate.First off, everything is made to order NO food is sitting around and the food is FRESH!All the food was excellent and had amazing flavor reminding me of home! The spam musubi and Mac salad were amazing and it felt like I was still in Hawaii!I 1000% recommend this restaurant and you should definitely stop by when coming to Disneyland!P.S. We would have taken pictures but we ate the food too quickly it was that delicious!Thank you again Aunty Cheryl for all the kindness and great service!“

“Amazing & fresh poke bowls. You can customize the type of fish, sauce & toppings used and they make your bowl right in front of you. We loved the original spicy sauce! We don’t live in the area and are already planning to come back, it’s that good!“

“Who knew this place existed in La Habra of all cities?! Hi BBQ is delicious, flavorful and reasonably priced. They give you huge portions and we all had leftovers to take home. The chef is also a very sweet lady. I will definitely be back again to try the other items on the menu.“

“One of my two favorite poke places in OCLove this place, the food quality is always fantastic and food quality is consistent.Service is friendly and welcome. The prices are very reasonable.I have tried many bowls, they are all great, and the Traditional Shoyu is probably my favorite. Don't overlook the handrolls which are great as well. The Poke Nachos are a good change of pace.“

“My Hawaiian friend vetted this place, so you know it's good. We tried the chicken, shrimp platter, and poke. The spicy garlic poke has a bit of a kick to it and is very flavorful. Skip the octopus side unless you're a big fan of ginger. There are only two benches outside to dine at but the setting definitely fits the island vibe that the restaurant has. Enjoy!“

“Pretty good poke place in Long Beach! The only complaint I have is it is on the pricier side (~$19 for a regular bowl which is the smallest option). But I will say the fish is fresh and they don't skimp on the protein, bases, toppings or sauce. You can also get as many toppings as you'd like. Seems to be a family owned business and the owners are kind. Just a heads up that because it's on 2nd street, you'll probably have to pay for parking!“

“I heard about this place from some friends of mine who came here to eat. I'm hesitant about eating Hawaiian food because not a lot of people know how to make it even though they own a Hawaiian food restaurant. So I checked it out. I ordered the beef ribs, and it came with Mac salad (no potatoes) and 1 scoop rice and small spinach salad. The beef ribs came out huge but not a lot of meat on them, however very flavorful. My wife ordered the poke and you could tell that it was fresh, it was very good. They had a few different types. She had ordered the Calhi poke . A lot of times, it depends on who is cooking. We totally enjoyed it, the day we went, so do you wanna check out a Hawaiian food place?Try this place out,it may surprise you.“

“It's all about the Food here. Very friendly service. Expect to wait for your order, but it is worth the wait. This place is not much about atmosphere, just great food at good prices. I highly recommend the Beef Ribs and Macaroni Salad.“

“My partner and I are regulars here as it is near our apartment and in a plaza right near our local Target. Walking into the restaurant, you hear the grills hard at work preparing chicken and short ribs alike. The smell wafts in the venue as you wait for your food to be cooked and it's such a treat. I usually get the #1 Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate ($13.99) with extra Mac salad and my bf orders the Loco Moco ($16.49). Typically, you're in and out of here unless it's busy like around dinner time. You won't wait more than 15 minutes as they're very quick on serving the food out fast and hot. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Definitely makes for a great meal and reasonable pricing for good Hawaiian food.“

“Chose this place without expectation after hours of play time at Kid's Empire, an indoor playground nearby. We were tired and hungry and ready to grub. Guess what? THE FOOD WAS BOMB!!!My son and I shared the CHICKEN COMBO -Chicken Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki with rice and macaroni salad. Huge portion. Chicken was cooked perfectly and Mac salad was on point! I'd order it again. My husband enjoyed his SEAFOOD PLATTER -Fried Shrimp, fried fish with rice mac salad. Huge portion too. They also had boba drinks. We tried the mango slush with Boba and was a little sweet for my liking but still good.Customer service was great! The young girl who took out order was nice and helpful and the older lady who maybe the owner was really nice and offered us water and check on us making sure we were okay. Will be back if we are in the area.“

“The taste is above average but not the best. The portion sizes are adequate, and I highly recommend the half and half option for first-time visitors. I tried the Kalua pork and spicy BBQ chicken, both of which were great. The owner was kind enough to leave a good impression.“

“This is my new favorite spot for poke. Their prices are great compared to other poke spots, considering their portions. I usually get a medium bowl that contains 3 proteins and the Hawaiian tuna is my favorite. The workers do not skimp on the protein scoops! I love the assortment of toppings and sauces. There is a good amount of tables inside for seating and the service is quick and easy.“

“Warning, is going to be odd review about one item. But on wednesdays they have a 2 dollar spam musubi special. Honestly, as a struggling college student there are no words to describe how insanely helpful this has been and something i weirdly look forward too. 10 bucks gets me 5 and i’m set for lunch for a a few days. It’s small thoughtful little ways with mom and pop locations like this that add a layer to a local community. Major chains could never, devoid of warmth and any way to build a relationship with its patrons beyond an exchange of overpriced and sometimes lackluster food. Places like this provide humble and honest ways for the community to feed themselves. Will support this place as long as I can.“

“This is my go-to poke place and I have been going here for years. They have wide selections of sides as compared to other poke places. Their bowl size is standard, sizing just varies on the number of scoops you want for the protein. Dee, their manager is the best! She's super friendly and she is very generous with the portions unlike the other staff they had in the past. Place is clean and always neat inside and out.“

“Best hawaiian food I’ve ever had. I live an hour away and make the trip out here. The bbq beef is amazing as well as the side salad and macaroni salad that comes with the plate. “I aways find a reason to come here when I'm in the area. Now that my son goes to school nearby and I get to pick him up... I get even more chances now! The food is always great and the customer service is what you'd expect from a Hawaiian place... very friendly and chill! Server Billy represented Aloha today as he greeted each customer upon entry and took each order with compassion- giving recommendations and the customer a chance to think. I haven't been back to the islands in a while but this place just needs a real beach in the background and you would think you are there. Until then, this taste of Aloha will do! Thanks again for the good eats, smiles, and music!“

“I ordered two bowls for pick up and was impressed with the quality. The bowls were filled and I felt like we got a good amount of food for the price. Nothing was laking, unlike other poki places in the city. This is a nice spot for a quick and fresh meal.“
“We doordashed Chicken Katsu, Macaroni Salad, and Spam Musubi. They're open late at night which is pretty nice! I believe this is a ghost kitchen but they're still so delicious and give generous portions! One of my go to spots to order. Chicken Katsu (5/5): Macaroni salad is creamy and delicious, pairs well with the rice and katsu. Katsu is crispy, moist, and well seasoned. We love how much katsu comes in one box! Its enough for two people to share and still have leftovers. Spam Musubi (3/5): Spam was really soft and a bit undercooked. Lots of rice compared to spam ratio.“

“This is a regular place to order lunch. I never eat in ambience is not that great but I see people eating lunch on the outside patio chairs all the time so it’s about 20 bucks for a large pokey, figured it’s healthy it’s gonna be more expensive you know it’s just a bunch of protein in brown rice and salad in a bowl. Good healthy option as compared to what else is out there during the work week.“

“Food: Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken had the right balance between spice, butter, moist breaded chicken; Kimchi Butter Shrimp was also excellent; Spam Brulee was a great new take on the typical Spam Musubi with their mayo-based sauce on top Service: made-to-order service Design: interiors had the touch of island vibes with the rope lashing & surfboard sign, but is part of the larger Rodeo 39 Public Market Overall: if you want great Hawaiian inspired grindz with a little extra kick, then check out this spot and get ready to roll your eyes back with satisfaction!!!“
