I've been coming here for years! I'm saying years now. Back when the owner only had one truck in the parking lot of Lowe's . Me and my husband were so proud of the success un Mexicano was thriving. We even had him cater our parties back in the day. But anyways.. The flavor was always great. Also they used to put alot of meat on the tacos, give fixings like jalapeños rabanos, onions. But in the past few years we have stopped going because we noticed how skimpy he was on the meat. We went a few times in the past few years .. about my last time going ... Like the taco is $2 now and hardly no meat. Super thin on the meat. ( I should have taken pic) I regret not letting the workers know of my disappointment in my tacos. It was like eating tacos de tortilla . I would not recommend this place to anyone not worth the money. Sorry but I no longer go here

I ordered 2 al pastor tacos, 2 carnitas tacos and asada fries. I gave them a 20 and they gave me my change and order number. I waited for 20 minutes out in the cold. The lady working the pick up counter called my number. I got my food and checked the order. I was short the 2 carnitas tacos. I told her that it was short. She looked at me and told me no and to go back to the order window and order more tacos if I wanted them. I already paid for them. She was completely rude about it and would not listen to anything I said. The order window already had 6 people in it now. So basically they charged me for food that I didnt get and told me to pound sand. A few people saw this and told me that she is always this rude. No worries. Wont get.my business or anyone I know.

We tried the asada tacos, carnitas and Al pastor, and the carne asada super burrito! All of it was amazing! The tortillas are the best part. I don't know where they get them but they're bomb!

Great food and fast service. Good size burritos and tacos as well. A lot of places hold back.

GOOD Tacos de lengua and tripa are hard to FIND. These are the best tacos of those meet choices that I actually enjoy. Service is okay.. the reason for my 4 start is due that there's barely ANY cilantro in the tacos & onion are diced too big.

finally checked this truck out today & i was surprised . i always see it but i never stopped by & tried it . i love how they still have $2 tacos . i ordered 3 steak tacos & i got hot salsa instead of mild . because they were out of mild salsa but no biggie . honestly the tacos were really good actually . the steak was seasoned well & that hot salsa was good & spicy if you like heat . i forgot to take a photo of the tacos otherwise i woulda posted those too . i will be back though for round 2 .

I'm from San Jose so when I seen the opportunity to try some local tacos from Stockton I had to. I was at the kfc and asked the workers if it was legit and they said it's worth a shot. For $2 each I was like why now. It was fast, maybe 4 minutes to get my tacos and they came out hot. The outer taco was crispy. I wish I got more tacos or even the burrito, next time I'm in town I will try it. This was in the plaza with the kfc and lowes. Sad part is now I want to try the burrito.

I ordered a grown up quesadilla and a grown up burrito and got a slither of jalapeño. This is every time i freaking go. Ridiculous

You're looking for tacos. But what exactly do you want? If you want LENGUA and TRIPA, you found the spot. I would rate El Grullito's tripa and lengua at the top of my list of places that serve either of these two. Rarely have I had a lengua as tender and not resemble an actual tongue than at El Grullito. The salsa verde and onions that accompany the taco make it a flavor blast in your mouth, and you can balance it out with a tripa taco too, with it being slightly crispy and tender as well. These two contrasting textures complement each other well! NOTE they do run out of tripa from time to time so if you come late you may have already missed out on it. Their carne asada and al pastor are still good too but nothing to rave for. The el grullito I normally go to is on Holman and Hammer lane in the Lowe's parking lot. They used to have a picnic table to dine in but it looks like it's gone now. Their tacos were served with pickled carrots and jalapenos which their acidity balanced the fattiness of the tacos.
