It was our first time eating here (we got it go) the food was very tasty except that the broth in won ton soup was a little bit on the bland side but still had delicious won tons. The ma po tofu was tasty & the sweet & sour fish was very good! I gave this 3 stars for this review but we'll have to try other items on their menu & dim sum on another weekend. It's definitely going to be on my "go to place" for Chinese food!

Stop by to eat last Sunday and the food was pretty tasty. The staff are friendly and attentive. Because it's not as busy as the other dim sum restaurants, I would definitely recommend this place!

What a surprise, it was a great restaurant! We had a great evening here with families. Clean place, friendly staff, reasonable prices and the food we had was SUPERB. We enjoy it so much, if you are in the area you must go to this restaurant. Highly recommend !!!

Oriental Chef is a smaller Chinese restaurant compared to China Palace and Dynasty and they are a bit less busy. They looks a bit deserted off to the side though. Their hours may be a bit off though because they seem to always be closed when their hours states that they are supposed to be open. They offer a good variety of Chinese food, along with dim sum. I usually come for the dim sum and it has been pretty decent. Honestly, it tasted very similar to their competitors, China Palace and Dynasty with less of a wait. The only downside is their hours are not consistent.

We decided to go have lunch here after Thanksgiving. What pleasant surprise, they are serving dim sum dishes 6 days a week, 11-3pm. Server pushing carts fill with fresh dim sum choices which was very delicious. The regular menu has many good dishes to select from. We highly recommend Orient Chef for excellent Dim Sum.

It's Stockton... I grew up in this city and China Palace and Red Dynasty ruled the dimsum marketplace with the now barely mediocre quality. Great news, be disappointed no more, Oriental Chef is here! If you are looking for decent dimsum within Stockton's 20 mile radius this is the place. Staff don't have uniforms but service and food quality is good enough for the dimsum. Also, this place won't damage your wallet and giving you bad dimsum. This will be by only Chinese restaurant I'll recommend in Stockton, the other brands are now disappointing. I was fortunate to test this place today, I ordered 15+ items for 4 adults most items didn't disappoint.

Went here for the first time with a friend for lunch. I got the cashew chicken, she got the sweet sour pork with fried rice. It was horrible. The food came out quick and they gave us a lot-which was nice. That's where the positive ends. The food was very bland and the chicken tasted like rubber. Some pieces were pink and did not look cooked all the way. My friend said her food was solid like a rock and tasted freezer burned. We had to throw it out. Not going back here.

This place is so wonderful. Lemme just say, it’s AWESOME. I came here with my family on my birthday, because I was learning Chinese. I really wanted to practice Chinese, and the waiter did! He was happy to help me. Any place that has great food, a nice waiter, and helps me speak the language is automatically 5 stars. 谢谢你！
Its tucked away in a corner. Server was nice. The food was overall good. The eggplant in clay pot was excellent.

Our family had visited Oriental Chef many times before the pandemic. After a year and half I went with my aunt today. We had two noodle dishes their house special noodles and chicken chow main. Both dishes were delicious and the chicken was very, very tender. I enjoyed the chow mien very much. The waitress who worked alone during lunch was very efficient, pleasant and quick to answer your needs. She waited on all of the tables. I live in the By Area and have had Chinese food in many restaurants. The food at Oriental Chef is just as good in the Bay Area. Just as important this is the cleanliest restaurant ever - the bath room is very clean. Your will enjoy the food, service and the cleanliness.

Nothing extraordinary and definitely not worth almost $80. The fried rice was good and the best out of what we ordered were the chicken wings. The chow fun had a slightly spoiled taste to it which was disappointing. Long story short, you can get these items literally anywhere else for half the price.
