Went here 5/1/2024 for lunch serviceHostess greeted me at the door. Sat at the bar and got Chirashi and Hokkaido Uni.Chirashi comes with soup and salad. Miso soup has tofu and chives, house salad has great dressing mixed in and the tomato on top the skin was peeled, sweetness burst in my mouth! Delicious.Chirashi has a mountain variety full of fish. Comes with what looks like octopus, sweet shrimp, crab, salmon, tuna, chutoro, albacore, yellowtail, seared white fish, 2 sweet scallops. The rice underneath was seasoned with seaweed and pickled seaweed. Very tasty! Also the rice is from hokkaido! Really great rice texture!Hokkaido Uni was very delicious! Definitely a treat!Service is great! My tea cup was never empty.Will definitely come again and try their omakase.

Very high quality sushi and the chef is awesome. I gave him a budget and he put together a custom omakase experience for us. We really enjoyed it.Atmosphere could use a little more warmth. Lighting at the bar was also a little too bright.Highly recommend.

Amazing!I had the avocado cucumber roll. My husband had the dragon roll (Decorated like an actual dragon! Omg! Art! He wouldn't let me take a pic!) and futomaki roll.The service was polite and informed and quick. No wait for a table on a Saturday night!Delicious. Must try!Wonderful beer and alcohol selection. We had three beers.Loved the music and ambiance. It was quiet and comfortable/cozy after a long day.Thank you for the lovely meal .

This is by far the most delicious sushi place n Studio City and probably in LA. The fish is the FRESHEST. The parking can get tricky, but if you want to eat fresh fish, just try this place. I promise, you will not go anywhere else. Studio City needed a place like this for a long time. I am coming back.

We stopped by Akira today for a random lunch... let's have sushi on Ventura on a Friday.. and decided to go full omakase. Leo, the sushi chef was amazing. His dishes were so inventive and delicious... better than I had in Tokyo visiting some of the best omakase in the city. He has a background working at some of the most highly rated places in the city... Leo's sushi was inventive and delicious. Highly recommended.. even the palate cleansers were amazing. We will be back. Thanks Leo!

Amazing food but the service was so slow! Disappointing. Only 1 server and 1 sushi chef can't keep up with a busy restaurant.

A hidden gem in studio city. I'm very weary of extremely positive starred yelp reviews so I was skeptical about this place. To my surprise the fish quality is incredible. And Leo, the owner, is the best. Highly recommend omakase at the bar. And ask for his homemade pickled ginger. I could eat this by the jar!

terrific place.always something special off menu perfectly prepared. nice music, friendly chef, knowledgeable staff, great food, not cheap but not crazy. how ever does he make a thousand absolutely identical tiny cuts of a cucumber by hand?
