Leave room for photos of your college friends AND for the Methodists at the table.

It was a little dark at the table and the light that was there was a little distracting. Overall the food was great and the service was great! Have to go back to try the cheesecake though cause they ran out.

Fantastic! My husband come here at least twice a month and enjoy the solid dishes and amazing cocktails! We've truly never had a bad experience at OyBar and it's our go-to neighborhood spot!

3rd visit - Obsessed! Innovate cuisine and meticulous cocktails at the level everywhere else wishes they could. Negroni - All time fav because the bitter punches hard (sometimes too hard). This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!

All the best dining options in Studio City aren't necessarily on Ventura Blvd because there are a handful of hidden gems within the neighborhood. OyBar is a born again oyster house now serving elevated bar food along with refreshing cocktails. They're located on Whitsett/Moorpark adjacent from the Studio City Branch Library. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant or you can park along Moorepark. This place is the definition of hole in the wall because if you miss the sign outside that says "bar", you wouldn't even think to stop in. OyBar does not take reservations and is walk-in only. You can sit at the bar but a table will be about a 30-45 minute wait depending on the day you go since it is a small space. The times my wife and I have gone for date night, we just order a cocktail as we wait for a table to open up (fyi: no espresso martinis, but el diablo is a must). The food is prepared by Jeff's Table and the menu is always different. Besides the Oy Burger, I recommend the smoked salmon yaki-onigiri because of the crème fraiche freshness. Oh and heads up, this place is dimly lit so you may be "that person" using their cellphone light to see ;)

Wonderful unassuming bar that makes you feel like you are in a Brooklyn speakeasy. Service by Justin was A+ and Owner/Chef Jeff was super personable. Highly recommend!

OyBar is officially on my short list of favorite restaurants all time. The food is simply delicious. Creative flavors and solid execution each and every visit. The staff is helpful and friendly, the food delivered quickly, and Chef Jeff is a real mensch. Shout out to the bar program as well. Last night had an El Diablo gingery tequila heaven. Enjoy!

Great restaurant, interesting food. Burgers are definitely the highlight here for me, some of the best in the city.

Absolutely spectacular food. The drinks are insanely good. The basic burger or the Fairfax are must order. The potato pancakes were dope.

Great neighborhood spot. We drove out to the valley to meet our friend for dinner (unfortunately, not our neighborhood). Very cool vibe. Dark bar atmosphere. Maybe 8-10 tables. Great food and drinks. Apparently, the menu changes frequently. We had a pastrami and cheese quesadilla - delish. The crispy potatoes were just right - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Burgers are terrific. Service is friendly and attentive.
