Had a amazing time here . Bar low key .great date spot . The food was another level. Cocktails are so good and you gonna be out after a couple of drinks . They make those cocktails strong . Definitely try the Gin and Tawnic. In terms of the food everything is good try any of those dishes .

Great staff, service, food, and drinks, as well as a cool vibe. Music is great and low enough to have a conversation without talking loudly. Love my neighborhood bar!

It's now the OY BAR ....a Jewish take on a Japanese "Izakaya" (snacks--grilled meats on skewers, etc.) restaurant. I have Not been there yet, but all the reviews seem impressed! Just wanted folks to know that the old "Oyster Bar" that's been Closed for quite some time, has been bought & renewed into the "Oy Bar"!

Recently reopened as Oy Bar, I was thrilled that a bar opened up down my street. The vibe was great, with ample bar seating and tables. Happy hour is 6-7pm daily for drinks and I was very impressed with both of their happy hour cocktails (an old fashioned and the Imperial Buck, a rum based mule). However my favorite cocktail was the Haunted Graffiti ($15) which was phenomenal. We got the mushroom quesadilla ($17) which was a new add and super unique with jalapeños in the tortilla and pastrami inside. It was delicious and also a substantial portion, easily enough to split for two people. The bartenders were super friendly and it's everything I want for my neighborhood bar. I'll definitely be back soon.

So I was looking through Yelp for a place nearby for oysters on the half shell. This place isn't it. Looks like a cool dive, but no oysters to be found.

How stupid is it to buy a restaurant that's thriving and turn it into a bar with no food?? I wouldn't be surprised at any moment if this place closes and hopefully somebody with some sense was open it back up as a restaurant / bar

It’s been 4/5 years since I’ve been here. Last time I came in 2015, it had more of a dive bar feel. It’s a little more refined and polished now - but has a perfect bar feeling. Cool style, great bar, great bartenders. Will return!! Parking is easy to come by.

Its a no nonsense place for you to just get your fix of oysters without the foofooey frills or prices of a fancy restaurant. In fact, this place is quite the opposite. Its a tiny little restaurant North of the Boulevard, at quite a random intersection. It is very dark and dreary inside, since there aren’t too many windows. The workers are all 50+ and have been working there for ages. Yet, there is something quaint about that. Oh, and did I mention their drinks are cheap too? They also make their own Peach vodka drink. It’s a dive bar, so I really recommend you try their dirty martini. You’ll love it and it goes so well with the oysters. Their food is really good. I ordered a pasta, but they accidently gave me the eggplant parmesan instead…but it turned out to be a happy accident. Plus they accomodated by giving me a small plate of pasta. Their oysters are chilled and so fresh! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Not to mention, they’re actually good for you! Increases your libido and some other stuff. I try a lot of restaurants, but its rare that I’ll go to a spot more than once unless I really like it. This is one of those places that I have made a regular spot. I can’t wait to take my friends.

Just ordered a mezcal margarita to go. Easy to order and it was there waiting for me at the door. The bartenders really care about their customers. The soul food on the menu from "Sweet Blessings" is incredible. Our neighborhood and city needs this place more than ever. GO!
