This place doesn't know how to make a simple cake order, last year I wanted a cake but the baker was never there so they made me come back 3 times just so I could make the order and when the baker finally arrived he was very rude towers me, so I let it go. This time around I ordered 3 leches with just fruit on the top and no frosting only on the sides, then when I picked up the cake, they did the opposite of what I wanted with lots of frosting and very little fruit, and this is the last time I would be coming to this place.

One of the best bakeries in the San Fernando Valley in the city of San Valley CA, this bakery makes a gra. variety of bread, and the size of the bread is very large, come try them I recommend it, the bread is fresh every day, they have Mexican bread, Guatemalan bread like the famous champurradas.

Stepping into this charming panaderia is like entering a haven of delectable delights, and the Rosca de Reyes cake is undoubtedly the crowning jewel of their offerings. From the warm greetings at the door to the last bite of the cake, every aspect of the experience is infused with a delightful blend of warmth and flavor. The Rosca de Reyes, a festive masterpiece, is a testament to the panaderia's commitment to perfection. As my gaze fell upon the intricately designed cake, adorned with vibrant candied fruits, I knew I was in for a treat. The golden-brown exterior promised a moist and flavorful interior, and it did not disappoint.Upon my first bite, I was met with a burst of moistness that surpassed any preconceived notions of what a Rosca de Reyes could be. The cake's texture was impeccably soft, a harmonious fusion of fluffiness and richness that left an indelible impression. It was clear that the bakers had mastered the art of achieving the perfect balance, resulting in a cake that practically melted in the mouth. The flavor profile of the Rosca de Reyes was a symphony of delights. Traditional spices, including hints of cinnamon, anise, and citrus, lent a nuanced complexity to each bite. The thoughtful incorporation of these elements showcased not only a respect for tradition but also a dedication to elevating the culinary experience. What truly enhances the overall experience at this panaderia is the outstanding service, with a special mention to Tawny. Her warmth and friendliness create an inviting atmosphere that complements the delicious offerings. Tawny's attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm for sharing the delights of the panaderia contribute significantly to the overall positive experience. In a world where exceptional customer service is often rare, Tawny's kindness is a standout feature that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the visit. Her passion for the products and commitment to ensuring customers leave with smiles make this panaderia not just a bakery but a community where patrons are treated like cherished guests. In conclusion, the Rosca de Reyes at this panaderia is a triumph of taste and texture, and the stellar service, especially thanks to Tawny, transforms the visit into a memorable experience. If you're in search of a place where moist, flavorful cakes meet outstanding service, this panaderia is a shining gem in the culinary landscape.

I saw the great reviews and figured I try La Colmena (always looking for the best pan dulce). I honestly have to say it was ok. Definitely fresh baked however not as soft and flavorful as I like. Been to different locations in the San Fernando Valley and so far nothing beats La Vallarta in North Hills on Sepulveda Blvd and Nordhoff

Simply delicious!! First time coming here and it won’t be my last. We had a 5 de Mayo potluck at my job and I wanted to bring in Pan Dulce. It did not disappoint! Everyone loved it.

One of thee best places to pick up Pan Dulce. And at the rate they churn it out, its always incredibly fresh. Its definitely my go-to and one of the only places i trust for things like Pan De Muertos and Rosca De Reyes when the holidays come around.

This bakery is out of this world. Got that oldschool Mexico bakery feels. Grab a tray fill it up! You can't beat the price of fresh made sweet breads. So much selection, almost to hard to pick. Coffee or tea pair very nice.
