Honestand Fair
Smallest most expensive sandwich in the world. Lower rating due to low service offering (and they keep cutting services) versus huge price (and keep going up). Not joking, I’ve traveled all over Asia, Europe and this place is more like a hobby for a local billionaire and they don’t care if you come or not, they are going to keep raising the price and see if you’re stupid enough to pay for tiny tiny French dip. Sandwiches are bigger in France than this place. Very limited condiments and you have to do all the work yourself, even though you’re paying a huge price. Wow! Last, place was so tight I had to get napkins from my car. I cannot see how this place stays in business other than being a hobby for a local billionaire. But I will say it was tasty, just tiny tiny. And who can eat straight horseradish? This should be mixed with sour cream but is an extra expensive and labor so they don’t offer this to cut costs.

Very tasty sandwiches! Just wish the roll was more sturdy with a bit of outer crunch instead of soft and mushy, especially toward the end of the sandwich eating.

Had a chance to stop by since it’s been on my list of places to try and was in the area! Had to go with the French dip since that’s their main item on the menu. Ordered a combo and got the onion rings that were perfectly fried. While ordering they ask if you’d like their horseradish on the side if you want an extra kick, and if you want ranch or bbq sauce (which are an additional fee and not made in house). The horseradish was a lovely pairing to the dip and the au jus was pleasant and not too salty. Not sure the bread I got was the same as I’ve seen in the other photos from other reviewers but would definitely come back to try their other items!

got the philly cheesesteak and it was meh, the meat wasn’t very juicy and there was barely any cheese, the fries were good though.

It was surprising how good the Adamson's French Dip sandwich was. I was expecting the usual bland taste of Subway. I Reccomend it if you want a quick yummy bite.

Food was OK. Meat and bread was OK yet there was no issue eating it all. The coleslaw had too much mayo for my taste. Service was polite and there are tables inside and outside.Parking: Parking close and plenty.Wheelchair accessibility: No issues.

This is my favorite place for French dip. Get the original French dip with some onion rings, and if you want some good root beer, do that too. Oh, ask for the horseradish.

Would I come back? Yes - but to try something else. The French dip was ~fine~. Good quality, tender meat, but very bland. They have a sign on the wall saying it is high quality corn-fed beef in case that matters to you.The onion rings were good. My friend got the fries and they were good. The bread pudding was good - not THAT flavorful (despite their Jack Daniel’s Bourbon sauce) and more on the gooey side of bread pudding. The homemade root beer was good. All in all, a good place to eat but not very exciting. We saw the employees trim the meat and throw away (!!) the outside layer with all the spices. Isn’t that the best part? Certainly would have made the sandwich less bland.I’d like to try the beef brisket or tri-tip when I come back. I don’t think I’d recommend the French dip just because it was underwhelming. If you do get the French dip, maybe spend the extra 50 cents to add cheese, jalapeños or onion.

Really loved this place for the past 5 years for their prime rib french dip and draft root beer, but unfortunately they had to discontinue the prime rib french dip due to inflated prime rib prices. The top sirloin is still okay, but it's really not the same quality. I would actually pay an even higher price than before for prime rib if they still offered it, but the top sirloin isn't worth it for me at the current prices.Until the prime rib returns, I will likely come much less frequently. Hope to be back soon when that happens!

The food is delicious, but one of the employees spoils the experience for me. She acts like she hates the world (including you) as she's taking your order, and she acts like you're personally spiting her when you don't hear her call your number the first time (which I've seen happen when the customer was waiting just outside the front door). I come fairly regularly but am always on my guard not to upset her. Everyone else I've interacted with is great, but unfortunately this employee seems to be the one who usually takes my order and calls the numbers. I'll keep coming because of the great food, but it's off-putting to be treated that way when you're paying over $30 for a sandwich, onion rings, and a root beer.

Was really looking forward to trying this place. Pros: - Meat quality was good - Provide good amount of jus - Fries are tasty and they give you ranch dressing Cons - Sandwich is VERY soggy when you get it as it's wrapped in paper (even if you dine in). - Bread is not substantive enough to stand up to the sogginess from being wrapped nor to the jus. Had been looking forward to the in-house freshly baked bread, but the bread needs to be more substantive with more of a crust. The whole sandwich was just too soggy- good solid french bread/roll would have made it a million times better. All in all, I will not be back due to the sogginess and bread....

We got two French dips on 06-18-23 and it didn't work out. It was busy, a bit unkept (dirty), a high price point and the sandwich was not good. The bread seemed off the shelf and meat was a bit tasteless and well done dry. But most of all it is small. I am talking like 7" x 4". The clerk messed up our order (knowing that most food service in CA messes up orders). It just was not good enough for the price. We will not be going back. Everything seemed watered down.
Best French dip in the bay!
