The three fresh chive buns taste exactly like the ones I had when I was a kid. Other flavors are also delicious.

The fried dough sticks are too greasy and the pancakes are too salty.

It is one of the most authentic Tianjin dishes in the Bay Area. The meat dragon and steamed buns are both authentic! The braised tofu and gaba dishes are still too bland, but Tianjin dishes need to be a little saltier.

Only a 3 star experience this first time but I want to give it another shot. The baozi were the best thing we got - both the pork and vegetable ones and the all veggie ones. The jianbing with youtiao was a little dry and lacking in flavor - will ask to add some hot sauce to it next time. Good service and there was a steady line of customers coming in during the weekend morning.

Note this 5 star is specifically for the Weekend Special menu. This place is takeout only. The Tianjin style crepe with fried stick, steamed buns with pork and Chinese chives pancake were all excellent, especially washed down with fresh soy milk. They also were really quick service. Super filling, we ended up ordering too much. Have to reheat at home since it's takeout only, but this is a very solid choice for Weekend Chinese-style breakfast if you don't mind reheating.

We got takeout just before closing time so not much was available. The jianbing baocui was no longer crispy by the time we ate it. It would be better if the crispy filling was kept separate. The zhacai rou si mian was quite plain but perfect for a late night dinner. Overall rating was "OK" from someone who spent years in Tianjin.

We ordered bun for dinner on Saturday, we had it right away and the bun have this hard shell like it was left over night! They used to have good food, but we won't be coming back any more unless the owner recognize they are turning away customers. Having fresh buns is a requirement to even sell it in a restaurant! Can't believe it.

I called restaurant on Sunday, 4/23/23 around 6:15pm because I saw a picture of a dish on google but was not sure if I found the dish on menu when I was trying to order online.I asked the person who picked up if the restaurant still have the dish because I can’t find it. He told me, and I quote this: if you can’t find it then we don’t have it . Even if you call it won’t make a difference. Now my question to you is, sir, do you even know which dish I am referring to? How am I supposed to tell from picture what name it is called and if the menu contains it?Funny thing was, I was referred to this restaurant specifically because of this dish. But if the attitude is so bad even over the phone then you must have plenty of business already. I wish you the best.

I’m from Tianjin China and am really disappointed by the food quality and price. The meat in wonton had gone bad. Last time I saw someone who ordered the cold dish wanted to take all the chicken legs and they just gave them to her. Their food was very pricy(even for bay area) and it was super oily&salty(in the bad way, unlike like how oil helped in Sichuan food). If you like their dishes, try Taiwan porridge king, much better quality and price. If you like their breakfast, try nutrition restaurant. If you like tianjin food, try taste good Beijing cuisine(still pricy, but quality better than this). Shame for the owners. Can’t believe you’re also from tianjin!

Please try your food. It was bad.To the owners, I hope you will take these suggestions to improve your food. I eat mainly Chinese cuisine; I came in very excited to try your food because you have lots of my favourites, and left extremely disappointed. If I hadn't eaten in the car I would have asked for a refund.I had the Jian Bing (chinese crepe with crispy thin dough) and the northern style Da Lu Mien (savoury seafood and pork gravy noodles). When did you make the Jian Bing? I ate it within 1 minute of receiving it and the crispy dough was soft as an overdone noodle. On top of that, the sauce was so little the entire thing had no flavor. Maybe this is regional, but on the fillings, I can't imagine paying $9 to have no lettuce and no black sesame on top. The flavor profile was nonexistent. To improve, make this fresh to order, and take care so that you place a consistent amount of topping to give it flavor. On the northern style Da Lu Mian. This is supposed to be a savory gravy with a lot of umami coming from the mushrooms and the seafood. In contrast, the sauce was very thin and the flavor rather bland in that department. I recommend stewing for longer to extract the flavor, boiling off some water to condense it more, and adding some starch to make a thicker gravy. Also, I had maybe 4 of the thinnest pork pieces that were so overdone they were somehow dry, despite sitting in soup. I recommend cutting thicker slices so they don't overcook immediately upon hitting the hot soup.

Northern China style Bao perfectly made for a Chinese stomach. Cold appetizers are good too. Ordered many times for breakfast.

My first experience trying Tianjin food, as a Malaysian visiting America. Must say i enjoyed the smoked chicken a lot, but as for the rest, they are quite decent although overall not super impressed. My native Tianjin friend tells me that it reminds her of home. (I didn't get to eat their dumplings as they ran out that day.)
