It just does not get any better than the original ice berg shake. If you have never been here, you must stop and try one. Many flavors to choose from. Go with confidence, and be hungry.

Terrible! We've been here plenty of times but tonight will be the reason we never return. We ordered a banana split and it tasted like chemicals had been spread throughout the whole thing. The pineapple topping was bitter, the banana tested like it was dipped in a cleaning solution and the ice cream itself tasted tainted. We have not been able to get the taste out. My husband ordered a chocolate brownie share with chocolate ice cream and we were informed there is no chocolate ice cream. You're an ice cream shop. How does that even happen? I called Iceberg and asked to speak to the manager. I was told that Angel is the manager and so I shared the info about our order with the hopes that he'd try and fix it for future customers!

Great selection of ice cream and the serving size is good for 2. There's an outdoor space to enjoy your treat. Service is quick even if the line is long.

Finally had a chance to try the original Iceberg! The shakes are super thick and very similar to a blizzard. They have so many different options available and the shakes are so large! My family had some burgers and chicken sandwiches, as well as some fries and onion rings. Iceberg has a great fast food menu and their fries and onion rings are great and hit the spot, with or without any sandwiches. Sometimes eating their fries with their milkshakes can be the ultimate fast food indulgence! There is usually always a line, but with so many different kinds of milkshakes, there is always something different you can try. My favorite thing about visiting iceberg is the classic neon and design of their building! Definitely a cool local treat!

Terrible terrible. I can't say it enough. Quality terrible. Customer service needs help learning the register. She didn't know how. So I waited forever to get my order then it wasn't right and it didn't taste good. Never again

My last order was onion rings-Burnt Iceburger-wilted lettuce no tomatoes or onion and ice cold. Corn dog- thrown in the bag unwrapped and cold. No napkins or fry sauce. Don't go there!!

tl;dr don't expect any frills from this retro, dessert-centric fast foodery -- but do expect thick, customizable milkshakes that can feed a family Thick, Blizzard-style "milkshakes" are an essential, regional dessert in the Beehive State. And, among Salt Lake City shake shacks, the Iceberg Drive Inn is perhaps the most iconic. This fast foodery was opened by Lamar Sorensen in 1960, and it is rumored to have been the first drive-thru business in SLC. The brand has since exploded to open franchises throughout Utah, Arizona, and California. So, as I made my way through SLC to catch a flight, I was excited to find that a dessert stop at Iceberg would perfectly fit into my schedule. The original location, in the mostly industrial Millcreek neighborhood, takes up nearly an entire parking lot. The red-and-white striped shack is lined with a crimson light strip, creating a zig-zag against the darkening sky, and the adjacent concrete picnic benches sit underneath bulbed twinkle lights. The bathroom-less interior has ruby-red upholstered booths, sepia-toned lights, and whitewashed walls heavily decked with 60s memorabilia. The whirl from the shake machine blends with the buzz of the neon signs. The overwhelming shake menu is separated somewhat indiscriminately; some varieties use syrups, while others mix toppings into the vanilla ice cream base. Additionally, the candy bar varieties sported an additional layer of chocolate magic shell mixed in. We arrived on a weekend evening, and the drive-thru line was spilling out into the street. We opted to park and sit out front to enjoy shakes and fries. The cashier was clueless, but our complicated order was prepared quickly and correctly. My partner and I love our killer combo of Oreos and peanut butter. However, the toppings could have been more consistently distributed throughout: the first and final bites were skimpy on the toppings, while the middle was topping overload (in the best possible way). Meanwhile, the fries were perfect: extra crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served beside solidly strong fry sauce. At first glance, everything (including the Mini Shakes) looked beyond unwieldy -- but each extra-large cup had a smaller cup within. Nonetheless, even the Mini size is plenty to split with a friend. The food is a steal (shakes start at just $6), and, with so many options, there is sure to be something to please every member of your party.

We stopped by on our way to the airport after an 8 day roadtrip. Our friends had told us the milkshakes were to die for. We ordered two. What we got seemed more like an oversized soft-serve cup of ice cream. While there was a straw in it, it was too thick to come up through the straw. The flavor was great, but there was just too much to really appreciate it for what it was. This reminded me more of the Wendy's Frosty than a milkshake. Be forewarned.

The food is gross and it always makes me sick. They are always shorthanded and they take forever! It's a cute little place tho. Used to be my favorite but went down hill real fast.

I will preface this by saying I haven't tried anything on their menu other than milkshakes - but their milkshakes??? Shut the front door! Who decided the unit of measurement on these things? I've decided that it's cheaper for me to get a regular sized milkshake and put it in a couple of containers to freeze than it would be to buy a pint of Ben & Jerry's....and it's waaaaaaaay better! Their flavor combinations are insane and the option to add macadamia nuts? Revolutionary . Why are you still reading this? Go!!! Get you a milkshake baby!!!!

I had researched things to do in SLC and this place got rave reviews. We pulled up 15 minutes before close and there were about 9 cars ahead of us so walked up to the window. Employee was very nice. We ordered 3 shakes and it took about 15 minutes to get them since they were so busy. I must say I was disappointed. The small was way too large and it was coming out of the top so had to scrape it off to take it in the car. I got cake batter and honestly it just tasted like vanilla ice cream. No one in my party cared for theirs either. We went out of our way to go here and I was sorry we did. Not sure what the hype is all about.

I love iceberg shakes! I've stayed away because how busy it always is but today the drive thru didn't look to bad so we risked it. Now a guy stands out and takes your order which I think the kitchen gets faster. Not too bad of a wait even tho the van in front of us ordered 6 shakes. My almond fudge shake was creamy and smooth and hit the spot. Portions r still big but nothing like before which I think is a good thing. Big enough to share tho. Best shake ever!

Honestly horrible. It's so simple. I drove 25 minutes to get there. Waiting in line for a hour, got to the window. It was 27$ gave the dude 40$ he comes back with 10.76$ I said what ever. I don't care about 3$. Then I get my food. Girls got a attitude, i drove all the way back home. Get ready to eat and they forgot both of my cheese burgers. F****** stupid dude I'm not gonna waste my time driving all the way back, waiting in your stupid line. On top of that they raised there prices hella! Sweet! I don't mind I'll pay extra. But in return of us paying extra. We have the worse customer service. Next time I'll drive to another state to eat at ice burg. F*** you guys
