Love the food. Never had a bad dish from this restaurant. From the appetizers to the deserts and tea...everything is so delicious. My favorite dish is the quabilli (sp?) pallow with a side of the kadu! Amazing!!!!

My visit to Kabul Afghan Cuisine during Ramadan was met with both warmth from the staff and a few shortcomings. The initial wait of 15 minutes for tea and Firnee to break our fast was a challenge, particularly during such a significant time. While the Firnee was exceptionally delicious, boasting a delightful aroma of cardamom, it was somewhat sweeter than we preferred. My mother's request for a well-done Chopan Kebab was not fulfilled to satisfaction, served medium instead. Additionally, my craving for Goshefil couldn't be satisfied due to its absence from the kitchen, though it remained on the menu, an oversight that puzzled us. Despite these issues, the ambiance was inviting, but the overall experience fell short of the seamless dining experience we had anticipated.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kabul Cuisine, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Afghanistan. While the vegetarian options were somewhat limited, each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the rich tapestry of Afghan cuisine.The highlight for me was the irresistibly tasty bread, flawlessly baked and served warm – a true testament to the chef's skill. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate dietary preferences were commendable.However, parking proved to be a bit challenging, a small inconvenience easily overshadowed by the overall excellence of the restaurant. Kabul Cuisine is a gem for those seeking an authentic taste of Afghanistan, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gastronomic adventure with great service, even if you have to navigate a tricky parking situation.Vegetarian options: Some items are marked with a star and it means they can make it vegetarian for you!

Delicious food, served in a beautiful space that is decorated with middle eastern art (like sand made rugs). Their lamb is as delicious and tender as it gets.We dined with some vegetarian friends and they also loved their food.
The Kabul we loved is gone for good - will never go again We have been going to Kabul for 25 years (including the previous El Camino location) and loved this place for its quality and consistency. It was our default for any family dinners or celebration with friends. This week, it all ended after I got food poisoning and being disappointed by the changes in recipes and food quality. There is a new chef who is changing the recipes and half the staff is new - I'm suspecting they are under new management and cutting corners on quality and hygiene. Very unfortunate.

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. The Pallaw/Challaw is SO dry and flavorless!! The "bread" is hard and under seasoned. The lamb and beef are NOT cut against the grain, so the only way to eat those meats are to saw at them with the one knife they provide. And then try to chew it... And the location is terrible. They should have stayed at the original location.

Went here for a team lunch!! Absolutely amazing! A delightful culinary experience at this Afghani restaurant! The lamb chops were succulent and perfectly seasoned, while the chapli was bursting with flavor. Friendly service and cozy ambiance rounded off a fantastic team lunch.

My husband and I tried Kabul for the first time today, for lunch. We have never had afghan cuisine before, so we were excited to try it out. The restaurant is in downtown Sunnyvale. We were kindly greeted when we walked through the door. The restaurant is very elegant inside and very spacious. Our waiter was very kind. We deiced the try the chefs platter, the combination kabab and the seafood combo. The chefs platter arrived first. It was amazing. So delicious. I highly recommend this. It had 3 different types of appetizers on it and it was a great introduction to afghan food. We loved the spices and the different textures of each item. Our main entrees came out next. We both really enjoyed them. My lamb and chicken were grilled perfectly. Very moist and flavorful meat and the rice was also delicious. The bread that came with it was so soft and fresh. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and salmon. We were also given a green sauce with our appetizers and food that was super spicy but had great flavor. Our waiter was kind enough to bring me extra garlic yogurt sauce, which was so tasty to eat with my meal. We were really impressed with the excellent service and superb food. We loved it and we will definitely be back to try some different items.
