A solid sushi restaurant. My experience here wasn't as exceptional as some of the other reviewers, but there was nothing wrong with it, and I'd go back (although I'd likely try a different sushi place in the area first.)Some sushi places leave you going "wow". This one didn't. But the sushi was definitely high quality, and made for a good meal.

The rolls taste good, but the sashimi was not fresh. The fish felt like it had been defrosted again and again. If you want to try tranditional sushi, this restaurant might not be a good choice.

Worst service at all. So disappointed. After the lady brings all food and drinks to the table, she never shows up again, not even one time to check up with us until we go to the front and ask her for the togo box and check. Today is my husband' s birthday we had a birthday cake with us, because we have multiple plates on the table, and then we have to move the plates ourselves to make the room for the cake. When we see the check, the lady even auto-add the service fee. We didn't receive any service, no drink refills, no ask for the food, not even a Happy Brithday, ok?

Lots of options for rolls, delicious and above average portion. Recommend Caterpillar roll, my favorite combination of shrimp tempura, baked eel, avocado, and unagi sauce!

We love this place. At Katana the sushi is always fresh and service it great.Dietary restrictions: They are able to accommodate my gluten allergy, and my shell-fish allergy. This place feels like home.

I am super sad to leave my first ever bad review on a sushi place even though sushi is my favorite food.Parking: The parking was busy.Customer Service: Not all the staff was helpful, and they don't even answer their phone.Best Part: The fried green tea ice cream was good, their lemonade is sweet and I love sweet stuff.Worst Part: The fish was not all fresh, and most of the rolls we order add this cleaning spray to it. Because of it, one of my family members are taking a super long break from eating fish, and the staff are not noticing it!!Tips/Recommendations: Satsuma Sushi has fresh sushi and not far from here, it is in Mountain View. Just exit this parking lot and continue taking El Camino Real.Return: Probably not. There are other places with fresh fish around here. 2 star review is generous.

The Katana special was very good. As you can see, the portion size for the nigiri was most excellent. All the sashimi was very tender and melts in your mouth!! The cloudy sake (nigori) paired very well with the roll. If I ever make it back to the area for business I'll definitely be stopping by again!

Great food. Very tasty. But I ordered cola, waiter brought ice in a cup. So I poured cola there, and i was able to smell the chlorine or something similar to it, i don’t know if it was a tap water ice or the smell of a cup after dishwasher. Terrible ?

Apparently, they will automatically add gratuity to your bill and disguise this as “a service fee”. Was so confused and annoyed about this; charged 20% AUTOMATICALLY and not tell you. Myself and two friends (letting you know that it was a party of people, just three of us) found out because I had to ask my server what the charge was because it jumped our bill close to $180! And to make matters worse, will signing the bill out the table, they were closing and then turned all the lights out on us… food was good, service is a hard zero.

Nice restaurant in the neighborhood, with decent prices, sizes and friendly staff. They have high chairs and gave us one of the rooms so our kids would not disrupt the rest of the customers - very thoughtful!

Our family go to sushi place. We eat in or take out. It's always good. Sometimes not overwhelming good but still good. I like to order the tonkatsu, sweet sauce, eggs, fried pork strips, and onions, and an assortment of sushi rolls, baked, crunchy, California, and something different. The chef's happy day special is our go to for the different. It's always creative and good. The salmon and tempura bento boxes are good when I'm in the mood for it. Waitresses are nice.

8/24/23Came here for lunch and everything was very average. The fish quality. The tempura. Prices. All average, leaning towards not as good.Got...1. Chirashi $32 "variety of raw fish over sushi rice": It was okay. Fish was cut thicker, but not particularly special fish (not like I was expecting anything though.) But I did find some of the fish to be a bit mushy, maybe not good quality. Also, some pieces had quite a bit of connective tissue. Rice was okay. I'd say they could use more rice--normally that's the cheaper part so they'd fill up on rice to make the bowl bigger, but strangely they had very little rice for me and it wasn't enough. 4/102. Tempura (appetizer) $9: This wasn't good tempura. Wasn't crispy, and the coating coverage wasn't great. 4/10I'd say there's better places to spend your money if you're feeling like sushi.2/5#sunnyvale #sushi #sashimi #chirashi #tempura
