Bun cha Hanoi & Cafe sua da (iced coffee) brought me back to when I had it in Vietnam!I have this place bookmarked for awhile now and today is the first time that I was able to come here. It did not disappoint! I ordered the Bun Cha Hanoi and an iced coffee to go. The iced coffee is legit, strong and sweet just like I like it. The grilled pork and patty was marinated and cooked perfectly. Bun Cha comes with fish sauce, Vermicelli noodles and side veggies (lettuce, cucumber and shredded carrots)... I assembled it in a bowl, once I got home and enjoyed it very much.It brought me back to the time I had Bun Cha in Vietnam...so good!I would highly recommend this place and looking forward to coming back again to try their other dishes.

Stop by during lunch hours. The place is not too crowded during lunch hours as guests come and go. There are several available parking spaces. They offer simple lunch menu with choices of Pho, rice noodles, rice, bánh mì. There is roll for appetizer. Fast services once order is made.

Exceptionally affordable & friendly staff. Very tasty and thoughtful menu.Great spot for lunch as it's around lots of nearby office buildings.

Delicious food, possibly the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Excellent and friendly staff. The menu is limited and I can see service being a bit slow during busy times due to staff shortages but I didn't experience any of that. Highly recommend this place!

Great Hanoi style pho. I loved the lean meat!

Food was good, but not special. But the service was way too slow. I guess it is simply a reflection of the times and the lack of people willing to work in restaurants. Still, particularly slow.

I happened to stop by when this establishment was robbed in the morning and they were missing their point of sale machine so it was either pay by cash or venmo.I was hoping for a receipt so I could get a write off on my lunch but as good as the food was it was worth it.Bbq Chicken vermicelli, they didn't have chicken broth when I requested it but I don't know if it was due to the server lady being new and rude or just not understanding. And garlic fried noodles.

The fresh summer roll, Fat Charles Banh Mi and pho were delicious. I will definitely come back and try more. I hope they can open on the weekends soon.

Reduced menu items……. which is fine with me. Very unassuming location. Flavorful servings with fast service!

Stopped by for lunch and what a great experience! More than just pho and rice plates. Really like what Charlie is doing with the menu. A culinary experience with fresh ingredients and rotating specials. Try the specials. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back ??

Plenty of parking and a great spot for a modern take on Vietnamese food. Their pho is the best in the area in my opinion. The stir fried steak pho is on the heavier side so it is more like ramen soup. This is super unique as I haven't seen it anywhere else. The pho broth is always soo tasty and the their rare steak pho is my favorite. The famous fat Charles is always a hit whenever I bring friends! The bread they use is so good and a bit different from other Vietnamese Banh Mi, a bit lighter and less bread-y I'd say. Definitely worth trying. And the pork belly is always cooked perfectly. Whenever they have the chicken pho or rice dish I try to get it as it's always so good! I brought my mom who at first didn't want the chicken and rice dish but we got it anyway so I could try it and she ended up finishing the whole thing!! Couldn't stop saying it was so good and wanted to know how they marinated the chicken. Their Vietnamese coffee is really strong so if you need a caffeine kick it's great. I wish they stayed open for dinner!

3/5 for food, 5/5 for service, so I'll give 4 stars but you can make your own decision. The owner said the Fat Charles banh mi recipe has been in his family for 10 years! The pork belly comes from Denmark and had a noticeably thinner layer of fat than American pork belly. The sandwich was flavorful and tasty, but it was a bit too bready, in my opinion. No limes for the pho, only lemons, and the pho portion was quite small. I don't think I've ever finished a bowl of pho without leftovers, and I certainly have never finished a bowl of pho and still been hungry afterwards. Until now :( Very very very little meat in the pho (smallest portion size I've ever seen)Owner was super friendly and knowledgeable, our plates were whisked away in a timely manner, and the food was served very quickly. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant as well.

So sad that this place is only open for lunch on weekdays because it's so good! I'll have to take more lunch breaks from work to come visit. I got this recommendation from a coworker & this has definitely become one of my top pho places in the Bay Area. The pho broth itself is so flavorl and sweet (I got the Obama special). I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee from here & it was so GOOD and very strong. I absolutely love this place & would recommend others to come. Parking was very easy to find

I've been there before Covid and now as reopening, the owner is just as friendly as before. The soup is fulfilling and piping hot, banh mi, and rolls are all awesome. The only thing that change is that you order on your sheet and then give that to the server or the owner and take a table to wait for your dishes.

A small restaurant with good parking, conveniently located to a lot of businesses. Honestly I didn't expect much as the menu was all in English so I wasn't sure if the place was Americanized, but I was pleasantly surprised! The host/owner was very friend and accommodating. A little bit short staffed but the owner is trying hard to make up for it. I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong (Vermicelli with grilled pork) and was satisfied. Vegetables were fresh and crunchy, meat had tons of flavor, noodles cooked well, and to top it off it had crunchy garlic bits which added even more texture. The bowl was ~$15 which is pretty typical for this area (support local businesses!). Overall solid Vietnamese food and will definitely be back! Excited to try their Pho next time.
